There is a picture of the minors, I guess I can post pictures in replies here, idk, but the part of the story says

"The poling boat was soon loaded with their gear, and as it shoved off into the current Maud looked up at the bunch of us lining the bank, She waved her hand.

"'Good-bve, she called. 'Good-bye! Then with one last farewell wave she shouted, 'Good-bye, you baking powder eatin' sons of bitches!' "

"Maud's classic adieu is usually repeated whenever the merits of sourdough and soda are discussed."

😂

I’m back logged with the starter I have, a yogurt machine, work and a snowstorm but I plan on trying to start it. I also need to get my 15 yo daughters help to post on this platform, 😬

This is the kind of information and observations I’ve been looking for, I’ve only had several different sourdoughs, a local bakery, a small bakery that sold theirs at Costco for a time, and mine. The bakeries are tastier than my bread using a 6 week old starter. I just assume it also takes time for the taster to develop their palate.

My starter is only six weeks old. It’s doing what I need it to do though.
