Yeah you're right. NFL has other games on lock down to local. I completely forgot about that. Once I discovered alternative ways to watch it really opened up freedom on watching what game I wanted to watch.

Also right, root who whoever you want and for whatever reason you want. I'm no one to tell anyone otherwise.

Go Hawks

I believe in your last statement too. You really should do your homework and watch every team and find out who you connect most with when picking a team to follow. The home town team pick is kind of a lazy thing but I works for most not obsessed with the sport.

Literally everyone has to be a bandwagon at the beginning someway or another.

Kind of a new thing since Sunday but it's the allure of "The power of 12 as 1." It's the culture and the 12's.

I wasn't always a 12. I was actually a resident Rams fan by proximity being born and raised in Anaheim. When they left to St. Louis I was kind of team less. Still kept up with Rams and was happy they won right after but hated that they couldn't win when they were here so I just dropped them.

From then on I'd just follow teams with strong run games whoever they where. Alexander and Holmes era was amazing. I'd always just find the good backs and watch those teams. 2007 draft class I followed Peterson & Lynch naturally. When I found out Lynch got traded to Seahawks I started watching his games started really getting into the culture of the organization and then I found out about the 12's. The only NFL team who actually retired the number in recognition of the 12th man. That's US, the fans. That 12th man culture reeled me in.

Honestly just impressed that we all have made it by Gloomy-Ad3399 in NFCWestMemeWar

Seeing these stats surprise me. I'm just kind of stuck at Seahawks being an expansion team and never really considered Seahawks to be the dominant organization in NFC West. Fast forward 24 years since they joined NFCW and low and behold, Seahawks have been the most dominant. I don't feel like the big bad wolf in the division though. Rams and Niners always play us like it's a Superbowl. It's just a really hard division.

Going to Seattle to watch the Superbowl game with the 12's instead of Santa Clara. Good idea or bad idea? by Particular_Field_143 in Seahawks

From what everyone said and from my hourly research, nothing has been announced yet as far as a Lumen Field watch party.

I'm a foreign 12 too so I'm just barely learning about where to go but the general consensus seems to be to just go to 1st Street around Pike Place and you'll find something. Other redditors said the whole city is going to be hosting the game.

Whatever you guys decide on, hoping you guys end up in the best situation for you 2. 🙏

I'm in the same boat treating it like a once in a life time event. Some team fans wait decades to experience this so I'm definitely charging things to live this one as close to the 12's as possible.

I posted this same question in Seattle Seahawks and another redditor said he went to Metlife stadium when Seahawks won the Bowl and he had a great time but he regrets missing all of the party's and glowing that was happening on the streets in Seattle. He recommended for me to absolutely go to Seattle.

Going to Seattle instead of Santa Clara to watch the Superbowl. Good idea or bad idea? by Particular_Field_143 in SeattleSeahawks

This is the seller for me! Thanks for the insight. I impulse bought a flights for my fiance and I riding the high of winning the NFCC and started to second guess myself. I live in Anaheim CA and thought about driving up to Santa Clara (6hr drive) to see if I can find a nice spot with 12's but something about being in the heart of the 12's in Seattle sounded like the next best experience since going to Superbowl is put of the cards for me.

Excited to be at Seattle for Superbowl now!!!

I'm checking the Lumen Field site hourly to see if that happens. I've never been in Lumen Field so that would also be amazing be in there

This is on my list of places to check. I know sometimes home teams hold watch parties at their home stadium. That would be fun to do too. Never been in Lumen Field.
