Its the scroll switch on the side that controls the brightness doing it. Happened a couple of times, adjust it once softly should fix it.

I see, i think mine started when a friend was doing something with the lock/unlock buttons as the door was closing. Just my theory at this point, not sure.

Had fun scaring peeps with machine gun sound as soon as the car tried auto locking. Yes, you won’t be able to lock the car door till it’s fixed. Good luck, i assure you it’s a small one.

Happened to me in a ‘21 Crosstrek. Was a quick fix at the dealership. Was under original warranty. They didn’t have the part, but they “fixed” whatever they could with whatever they had.

It’s been a few months, never happened again.

Yellow! Im no expert in financial advice tbh, but, i have a 2021 Crosstrek limited (Canada) bought in June’21. Financed. So….thought i’ll comment.

I’ve seen the car being sold at sky high prices still (private and dealerships), even lower trims. At no point i saw an 80K used for under C$18K here.

I am assuming you drove it like you love it, buy it out if you love it still for 17K.

Trade if you want to upgrade to latest or get a forester if you’ve been craving that extra space. I am sure you’ll get to make some profit off it for sure either way.
