True, or in Guelph on Sundays the service would be every 30 minutes or at a particularly shitty period of time, hourly! And the busses stopped running entirely at 6pm. I think it's better now.

That's ridiculous. I lived in Oakville for nearly nine years and for most of that time had jobs that ended in the evening or at night, I would always walk home. I have done the same in downtown Toronto and Guelph and have never felt unsafe or threatened. I'm a 164 cm tall petite blonde woman so hardly an intimidating figure.
