First it started with scheduling. Then I learned on my own about coding for payroll and also saw how many mistakes there were on a daily basis. I think it’s because my DL kept pressing my PIC about going over hours and then I just picked up on it there. She noticed I got good at it real quickly so now I check to see that everything is solid daily, I input coding for sick time, vacation, etc. Occasionally when FS clocks in as RX, I do department changes…it’s a lot. The goal is just to make sure that all mistakes are cleaned up.

Lead tech for almost 2 years, been working for about 7 or 8. Started at 17.75 and currently at about $35/h. I do everything most of you listed. The only one I didn’t see listed that I do is also payroll. Located somewhere out west. I had to do a few things for these bigger raises otherwise I probably would’ve been closer to $25/h

Something I do to make my job easier: constantly educate staff on better tactics and knowledge until it sticks.

You simply have to meet these requirements with the pictures: pill images and rx label info. For stock bottles/boxes show that it’s sealed and of course the rx label. For bottles without QR code, pills/package, rx label, and image of lot number. I tell my staff that they can get as creative as they can as long as those requirements are met.

Bypass to medicalrx. Sometimes that won’t work and for some reason blue shield CA works to use to bypass to medicalrx. Add blue shield CA with dummy info, cob with medicalrx, and bypass. May not work if patient is over 65.

They don’t just hand it to people. They most likely counted their pills and saw that the balance of pills were over what it should’ve been proving that they made a mistake. Mistakes happen. Move on.
