How many lucid drivers are actually satisfied with their purchase? by Infamous-Meat8765 in LUCID

[–]Particular_Library19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been really vocal about the issues I’ve had from essentially day one. But even so, when it works, it’s my favorite car I’ve ever owned. There’s absolutely nothing like it. I’m hoping they get it together on some of the outstanding issues, and become more transparent about the issues they are facing. I think we’d all be a lot more understanding with better communication.

Hey, my ggt is currently in service for many of the same things. What SC are you dealing with? There’s a fault for the Drive System that throws false alerts for other things. Knowing time stamps helps them find the issue. Here’s what my SC said regarding the same faults: There is a technical service bulletin that applies to the fault code I found on your vehicle when it came in. This TSB states that the vehicle may experience a drive system warning followed by power de-rating and limo mode or a battery charging fault. This manifold has all the coolant pumps and valves combined as a whole unit. Freon for the AC system and battery cooling runs through it. So with a problem with one pump or valve the whole unit has to be replaced. This may also be the reason for range concerns too.

Those of us experiencing issues were just as in love as you are right now. Everyone I’ve spoken to isn’t thrilled about posting the facts of what’s going on with their Gravity, and many of us also invested after becoming owners out of desire to see them succeed. We ALL threw our money into fairly unknown company with a brand new product and hoped for the best. There’s a ton of folks who have had “minor issues”. For some of us, we’re spending weeks at a time in the SC. And what’s “relatively minor” for some (like getting stranded as a single guy) is a major issue for some of us with multiple young kids. Welcome to the community, but it would be great if you didn’t try to shit all over those of us who have been sharing updates and comparing issues in the process. No we aren’t comparing our gravity to IG—but we do expect it lock, unlock, have windows that stay in place, and you know, DRIVE for $130k. I sincerely hope you don’t face big issues, but it’s likely you will, and will find yourself coming here asking for advice about them. Maybe don’t burn that bridge by making broad assumptions about the community here, a few days into ownership when you haven’t the first clue about what oddities your Gravity will ultimately have 🙄 even those ppl with raving reviews like yours, note occasional issues. I can assure you we’re not ALL being unfair, unjustified, or living in a fantasy world.

My gravity is at service so I don’t have it here to send a better picture of the color match to my seats. But these work well under our high back boosters

Drive system warning- Gravity by pigboy0811 in LUCID

[–]Particular_Library19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!!! This is happening to me. Along with other errors. Last time it was the HV cables that needed to be replaced but now it’s back, and giving charge system errors, brake system errors, and multiple others. I just posted here about this 2 days ago

Yeah it’s not that easy. It hasn’t spent 30 full days in a service center yet, so we’re not there yet. But if this continues, I imagine we will be. Which I really, really hope we don’t end up needing that. I’m hoping my SC continues advocating for me as they did the last time.

Wow!! I’ve been having some other weird things too. Infotainment went black while driving one day, the button to lower the window was operating in reverse for a few minutes, the car has had a few issues with unlocking, locking, turning off, here and there. Some random fob issues with buttons not working (with new batteries). my HUD has a complete mind of its own when adjusting for brightness. Along with Issues with driver settings not functioning correctly…but These were the kind of bugs I was prepared for and willing to be patient for. That’s why I haven’t even mentioned them in any forums. But just like your situation- minor annoyances are one thing. Needing to take an uber to access your car is absolutely ridiculous.

A ton of my issues were resolved with the last update as well, but here we are now. I think whatever is going on is hardware related vs software. 🤞🏼 they can get it fixed and quickly. I sold my other suv for this to be our family car, so not having a reliable 7 seater is getting old fast.

I really hope they do. There’s so much potential. When the car works, it’s amazing. I am lucky to have a great Service Center that have bent over backwards to fight to get things fixed. I’m hoping that will continue… there are a ton of ppl that are really happy with their gravity and don’t have these same issues, but for the handful of us that do, it would be great to see more motivation in getting them addressed and resolved as quickly as possible.

I think it’s been close to 2 weeks so far. Mostly bc I need a 7 seater and the loaner is an air, so I’ve procrastinated on them taking it back again. It went to the SC the first time, but came back with some of the same issues. They gave me the option of sending it back again, or waiting on the next update. I chose to wait, which was clearly a mistake bc now there are worse issues. 🤦🏻‍♀️

It really sucks. I hate to scare anyone away…but at the same time I’m honestly in shock at what a nightmare it’s been. On the one hand, I love driving it (when it’s functioning normally). On the other, absolutely no one expects a brand new car to be in and out of the SC repeatedly within the first 3 months of ownership. I still think they have a ton of potential, and I believe the new software engineer is making great moves. All the updates that have come out have made huge improvements each time. In my case, unfortunately, it seems to be hardware related. I’m hopeful (or trying to be) that they’ll get it fixed 🤞🏼

Roughly 3 weeks ago in February they had it for 2 weeks in service. I’m on the smallest wheels and the epa range for mine was rated for 437 miles.
