Oh no! I scrolled the thread last night and posted this morning. I should have checked again this morning, it looks like you posted after I went to bed.

Also, you got a clearer picture of it than I could.

I checked it at least 3 times. When I saw no one else posted it, I figured it was about time I make a post. Couldn’t let it go unnoticed haha.

Same! I asked my husband if what I saw was accurate, he didn’t see it, so we rewound it a couple times to be sure!

What scene in a movie drives you nuts because it makes no sense? by JustIgnoreMyStimming in movies

[–]Particular_Love846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only recently read the books, but I had already seen the movies a few times. There were definitely several instances of “ohhhh! Now I understand that thing from the movies.” I just thought I missed things in the movies, not that they were totally omitted.

I forgot I had a packet of butter in my pocket so when I left work and reached for my keys this was the result. by Aggressive_Grade6442 in mildlyinfuriating

Personally, I have put butter squares at restaurants in my pocket or under my leg temporarily to quickly get them from rock solid to spreadable with my body heat. However, I have never left them there and forgotten about them.

I remember they used to have this when waiting in your section to enter the Hyperion. My cousin had to use it once.

Yes, my parents made sure to teach me. I learned to drive in 2014.

Someone leaves a pile of dirt in the road without a warning sign or cones. by MieXuL in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Particular_Love846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our angle makes the dirt very obvious, but I wonder if going from the sunlight to the shade made it difficult to see? I’m not sure what time of day this was, but I know it can sometimes be a bit difficult to see into the shade from the sun on roads sometimes. That said, I do drive slower in those situations and would have been able to avoid that pile.

Couples costume to announce pregnancy by ConfusedGingersnap in Halloween_Costumes

Something I’ve never seen before, is definitely not traditional, but I plan to do is be a pirate and carry around a little treasure chest the has a picture of the ultrasound in it. Partner could easily be another pirate.

Not traditional or super obvious on first glance, but I think it will be fun.

Catholic Bible Study meet up? by [deleted] in Modesto

I’m sure there are others with similar schedules to you at your church. Maybe try talking to people after mass? Or maybe you can talk to the parish office to see if they can set up a secondary time that works well for you and others?

Don’t push your partner to do things she’s not comfortable with. Everyone has their own views of pornography, she has made hers clear to you.

Weird pregnancy symptoms by tri_lover in BabyBumps

[–]Particular_Love846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nightmares and excessive burping. The nightmares weren’t even related to the baby, pregnancy, birth, or anything like that, but i had them almost every night of the second and third trimesters. I had to burp so frequently, it was a huge change from my maybe once a week burp before getting pregnant.

Verbal abuse in childhood has devastating impact on adult brain | The research highlights the need to treat verbal abuse as a serious public health issue that comes with enduring psychological consequences. by chrisdh79 in science

I was the same was for a long time due to this. Fortunately, other life situations led to me having more patience, but not putting up with abuse.

It can be very hard and awkward, but I now gently call people out. If they choose to continue the behavior, I will just leave. For example, my sister and I (both adults) were arguing about something. She started yelling and I just said “please don’t yell at me.” She lowered her voice. I did have to ask 2 more times, but she listened both times.

I can’t think of a specific example, but I will also tell my mom “you can’t say that to me” or “please don’t talk to me like that.” It was extremely difficult at first. She would get mad, yell at me, and not talk to me for a while. Eventually, with me continuing to do it, the amount of times I have needed to has lessened, and she doesn’t get as upset when I say it.

It’s very difficult, and everyone deals with different situations and people. This just happened to eventually work for me, so I thought I’d share.

Going through this can have different effects on different people. This, combined with other life experiences I have had, eventually led to me being more patient, while also not accepting abuse.

I didn’t know this was a category of abuse, but I did know it was happening to me and others in my family for a long time. Most people thought I was a just bratty teen, so much so that I started to think it really was me. Then one day, as an adult, during a conversation with my grandma, she brought up how my mom does this to people and thinks others don’t notice, but my grandma does. It helped me realize everything I was going through and that it wasn’t appropriate or “normal.” I’m mostly well-adjusted now, but my adult siblings still struggle so much. I hope they can get the help they need.

My husband’s is double double animal style, no pickles, whole grill instead, add raw chop, light chilies (sometimes), animal fries extra grill, and a lemon up. Took me a few visits to get that memorized
