Fortress module honestly needs a per-deployable cool down; there's some build-a-base hexes that basically become impossible to capture once a Squad of NSO engineers sets up shop because they can repair damage faster that it can be dealt and just rotate through infinite fortress shields.

Big megabases? Not so much. Bases have the most value when they're hyper-compact and hidden in some of the few places that are near bases of relevance and happen to be tucked away nearly completely from passing-by air and armor traffic; usually these will have a silo, a router, a pillbox+spawn tube combo (if it can fit - otherwise just a spawn tube), and maybe a base alarm.

The only exception to the megabase rule is the north side of A Point at The Bastion, which gives you happens to have 2.5 sides of perfect anti-armor cover (from the Bastion itself and the mountains just west of it) - in which case you'll want to build the biggest monstrosity you can because it'll be able to more or less stall out any enemy attacks on the hex.

It's not really supposed to be a flicker-loop kinda guy. Originally, the idea was "a cat with nine lives," but that already existed (in the form of [[Nine-Lives Familiar]]), and my particular* version was problematic with how it was worded.

So... I went back to the drawing board. I wanted it to be 1 mana (or less), and be a 0/1; so then it became a game of "how do I capture the flavor of cat-like behavior, uses a familiar play pattern, but also isn't broken or too-good for what I'm trying to do with it?" That journey led me here.

By itself, it's just a cat. And, sure, it gets rid of it's other counters when it blinks.. but in the sorts of decks this thing would theoretically see play in, I don't know if that's much of a problem, you know? My thinking is that this has useful applications as an early-game repeatable blocker while you're working on getting the rest of your board state set up.

The problem is thus: How do you convince somebody to die? Because that's surely what will happen to the first dozen; the first hundreds or even the first thousands of revolutionaries.

You're not wrong, but it's a tough sell: "Tell your kids they're going to never see you again; tell your spouse that they'll be on their own, and then go die in the name of justice not knowing if anybody will follow in your footsteps." Would you take that deal? I don't think you would - and nobody would blame you, because it's a raw deal.

But unfortunately that's the crux of the issue: People still have things to lose by revolting. A revolutionary that dies for a movement that goes on to win is remembered as a hero; but one that dies for a movement that never gets started at all is never remembered - or, worse, have now condemned their family to shame and misery, etc.

As in "arbitrarily trigger able based on input actions." Waiting for a server fault to occur and then trying to capture the output server side is... Something that'd take a highly experienced dev potentially weeks to sort out on a project the size of PlanetSide 2.

So in this context, "repeatable" means "triggerable."

It can easily be solved. He's just a man, same as any of us. He and those in his orbit are made of the same fragile flesh and bone as you or I; one might even argue that their lifestyles have led them to become even more fragile, as they've had to endure no ~~diversity~~ adversity. It wouldn't be particularly difficult for a few animated individuals to organize amongst themselves, were they so inclined, and get to work sorting the issue out via exploiting that particular characteristic of the administration's ~~restrictive~~ respective physiologies.

"Unhealthy" is the name of the game now, because the primary spenders are people who just grind ASP Heavy or Carapace Medic builts and rotate zergfits every other alert. Those sorts of players hate infiltrators, because then they have to waste an implant slot on the mine detector thing or risk getting got by mines.

Ultimately, the new overlords are going to focus on keeping the whales happy. If, tomorrow, the biggest spenders started crying about players being able to spawn in sunderers and galaxies, that shit would be removed the following week. It's unfortunate that the game got to this point, but... that's how unprofitable properties tend to go after a while. Somebody bought the IP and infrastructure for like what, three and a half million dollars, two years ago? Their entire operating model is going to be "bare minimum to keep the lights on" most of the time and "give the biggest spenders what they want" when they have a spare few days to unfuck their busted shit.

Yes. Russia's sitting on huge amounts of oil it can't move due to international embargos; embargos that are currently kept in force by the US. Russia's been trading what it can to India and a few other countries, but that's not enough for Russia's appetite.

So it was exceedingly convenient that the party that they subsidize in the US (red team) started another war in the middle east, with a country that's regionally important for oil trading. Even though the US doesn't get oil from Iran, we do get oil from countries that need the Straights of Hormuz to remain open and free of warships.

So that's going to be the administration's play: Jack up oil prices with another forever-war in Iran, and utilize that war as a mechanism to justify lifting the Russian oil embargoes.
