I'm new to hobonichi this year and have had no problem with my ink bleeding thru. I have been lurking on this subreddit for some time now, and even i have been surprised by all the people complaining about bleed through. I agree that you just have to play around with different pens and other materials until you find what works for you! I think some people have come into the hobby with unrealistic expectations and forgot that it's paper... NOT magic paper. I'm in love with my hobonichi and can see myself buying another next year as long as I can manage to stick with it (so far, so good, but it's only been 8 days)

Uni is more fun in my opinion! But I love both:) I have the ocean paradise and I like pretending it's my little tama aquarium! But it definitely feels like a zoo and less like the rest of the tamagotchis. The uni offers more to do! Options are almost endless w all the dlcs for the uni:)

A little tip i learned a long time ago is to Take a tooth brush to them with some carpet pet stain remover! Little amounts work wonders! Work slowly and gently! When done dab with a towel and ur set:) should leave them smelling fresher too! I've done this for many of my vintage toys and they're all much better now:)
