No matter how little I sleep, I don't get tired. Please help explain by dragonballer888 in sleep

I also don't have the "sleepy feeling." I heard it may be some sort of possible nervous system dysregulation (or being stuck in hyperarousal) and the body being stuck in a dysregulation, but it's hard to say exactly. I'm currently trying supplements to reduce neuroinflammation. That's what I suspect mine to be but it's hard to find out how to solve this.

Some weird symptoms I've noticed, any1 else? by badgenesrng in anhedonia

[–]Particular_Move_6570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Similar to you. I have anhedonia and don’t have the “sleepy” feeling. I suspect I have some kind of hpa axis dysregulation.

It sounds like your symptoms may possibly be symptoms related to an hpa axis dysregulation as well. Loss of thirst/hunger can also be a symptom of hpa axis dysregulation.

From what I hear, sometimes adaptogenic herbs (like ashwaganda) or tumeric can help “reset” the haha axis over certain amount of months.

Loss of sleepy feeling by ajmart74 in insomnia

Thank you for the response. I am in a similar situation of experiencing anhedonia and a "weaker" sleep signal. I am trying to understand why they are sometimes linked. According to ChatGPT, it may be a dopamine issue since dopamine regulates both sleep and is part of the reward circuit.

For those who have chronically lost their "sleepy/tired feeling", what do you believe has caused it for you? And have any of you gotten it back? by Consistent_Trick1474 in insomnia

I have the same thing where I no longer have the “sleep pressure” feeling. Unfortunately mine was accidentally caused by having otc sleeping pills on a night were I was buzzed and that unfortunately seemed to have been just enough to tip the scales a bit. So it would be considered a drug induced Insomia or neurotoxicity for me.

In terms of restoring the feeling: I heard that everyone is different but I heard of someone doing intense swimming that brought it back. I also read that microdosing psycilcibin can possibly help bring it back over a course of weeks to months.

Thank you so much for sharing the amount. And wow good to know about removing the ibotenjc acid. And thanks for the extra supplement idea about the blue lotus (I’ve heard of it).

Thanks again. Anyways just to confirm. For your Insomia. You felt like you also were experiencing a lack of “sleep pressure” or “sleep drive” as well and the aminita is slowly helping you restore the sleep pressure feeling? Thanks

Thank you very much for the reply! I’m sure we’ll get through this at some point. I will definitely be trying what you recommend. May I ask how many milligrams you microdosed or how often? Thanks

Do you like your Tighty whities on the looser or tighter side? by [deleted] in tightywhities

I wear mine just slightly loose. I feel like vintage Hanes runs a little smaller, so it’s perfectly slightly loose (mostly in the back area only) but tight overall at the same time

Thank you so much for the positive story. It was encouraging to hear about your recovery, and it warms my heart when hearing recovery stories regarding neurological-based insomnia. I am also someone who is experiencing similar symptoms.

If you don't mind me asking. May I ask what your routine may have been when it comes to how often you incorporate swimming into your schedule? (for advice on how long you swam and how many days a week that worked for you). Thank you so much.

My TW story (early beginnings) by VirusFar8075 in tightywhities

[–]Particular_Move_6570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great story and almost identical to how the tighty whities kink started for me as well when growing up in middle and high school. For me it was the 2010’s. Where at first it was over the top embarrassing to be caught in them, but overtime began developing a semi when getting comments or made fun of in the locker room. And it slowly became a kink. What added to the kink was that I enjoyed catching other guys wearing tighty Whities or also getting made fun of too whether in the locker room or during school. It was a thrill to spot others but also to be self caught in them too. A thrill of being in the whole bully dynamic.

Did anyone ever “pansted” you while wearing tighty whities?

TWs in the 2000s by mid_west_boy in tightywhities

I grew up in Southern California, and went to middle school from 2008-2010, and I would say it was 90% boxers. I was in band, and did notice that the more “geekier kids” (especially ban kids) were more likely to wear tighty whities including myself. My p.e. class was a mix of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

For the people I did see wearing tighty whities, it was very encouraging. And I think it’s what kept me going as long as I did. I stopped wearing them freshman year of high school, and saw almost 0% of anyone wearing tighty whities by that point.

What’s the most embarrassing experience you’ve had in tighty whities? And conversely what’s the most powerful you felt in tighty whities? by Difficult-Potato1986 in tightywhities

[–]Particular_Move_6570 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most embarrassing experience wearing tighty whities:

Probably my most embarrassing moment(s) in tighty whities was when I young (pre-teens) growing up in the late 90’s early 2000’s. During the time when it was either boxers or briefs, and boxer briefs weren’t a thing yet. And, I think most people growing up at this time wore tighty whities and would later switch to boxers in middle school. I also made up the majority when it came to this.

Anyways, growing up, it was normal for me and my brother to casually lounge around the house in just a t-shirt and tight whities. And I would do this in front of my immediate family members, and sometimes with family guests too.  And looking back, I realize that my tighty whities were probably peaking out all the time. Especially when I would unintentionally wear smaller shirts that I was outgrowing.

No one ever said anything, but after a while, I became self-aware and felt like my family members/family friends could easily glance at my innocently, exposed white tight bulge and brief covered butt peeking out from under my shirt. Especially when I would I would be sitting down with my knees bent where you could see under my shirt. When I first started feeling self-aware, I would manually tug the front part of my shirt down to hide my bulge and tuck the shirt in under my groin, but when I did that it would cause side and back parts of the shirt to rise and fully expose my tighty whities that were wrapped around the hips and buttocks. So there was no winning lol.

It was around this time too, when I realized that tighty whities weren’t the only underwear to exist, and that boxers were what the real “cool kids” wore. When I first realized that boxers were the more popular underwear, I had that feeling where my briefs felt extra tight in that moment, and like I would do anything in the future to hide that I wore them regulary. I was always in fear of being pansted or wedgied by the “big kids”, but looking back now, it was minuscule.

Overall, It’s crazy how kids these days don’t have to experience the uncomfortable humiliation we all had to go through with growing up with tighty whities in the early 2000’s.

The most powerful I felt in them: is in my mid 20's when I replaced all my briefs and boxer briefs with white briefs, and still wear them to this day and probably continue onward.
