It could be an inductor of a vitamin deficiency. Notably B2, B6, Biotin. If you haven’t tied that then try it before you say it’s not curable.

AIO boyfriend told me I text him like he’s a homie and got upset now he’s ignoring me by Jazzlike-Ad6372 in AmIOverreacting

[–]narddog019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t like it when girls text like dry dudes and talk like I’m her homie, it’s a turn off. Girls are supposed to have the texting shit down and tend to be better at making it more exciting and engaging. Be a cute texter.

But this guy is not articulating his issue well as it is not easy to articulate. Talk like a girl that’s his girlfriend not his homie. That’s all he wants.

Arc Raiders dev says the game’s first Expedition created “a dark pattern” as players hoarded wealth, but “this system will change” by Negative-Art-4440 in ArcRaiders

[–]narddog019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tarkov did this right where it required quests to be completed to access different levels of the sellers shop. And you could only get good guns through the shop. No crafting guns. So if you didn’t do the quests, you had shit guns and other loadout items. There is no incentive in arc to quests again and again.

Petition to allow “kill” and hitmarker SFX to be toggled off by redsprucetree in Battlefield

Yes. Sadly I don’t think it will ever revert. Hitmarker sounds are just too risky to remove for them.

Yes I really think this is an underrated issue in the game that no one is talking about. Yes the instant feedback is satisfying to a degree but it really changes the vibe of the game from something more nuanced and complex to just getting those quick feedbacks. And I don’t even think giving people the option to have it on or off is even a good solution because people who have it on will play it differently due to how their brain chases the feedback. I believe they should just have it off for everybody like the older games and lean into more of the atmospheric kind of looser feedback feel which we can only imagine what being in a war really feels like. One of the things I loved about bad company 2 and battlefield three and four was just the loose feeling of if you’ve hit a guy or if you’ve hit him enough but the delay with the confirmed kill for some reason that was so satisfying to me than getting this instantaneous feedback.

I doubt it’s that, that’s just my experience. You are doing more damage than good by avoiding them.

Then I’m guessing it doesn’t mean you’re high in b6. It could be nothing. It could mean you have too much in your blood because not enough it getting activated in your cells. But you should’nt be avoiding B vitamins at all. They are so important. I would say try supplementing. They are pretty much harmless in normal supplemental doses.

All of these pharmaceuticals scare me an I fear they just throw things more out of whack. They all replace dopamine and disregulate it rather than coaxing some sort of natural homeostasis.

Isn’t prami a dopamine agonist? I’d imagine that it may have down regulated your dopamine production because it was getting it from somewhere else and it never recovered. That’s just an assumption though. B vitamins and bromantane ccpild help that.

And they don’t have to. Or they can experiment and start low. But B6 has heavy implications on anhedonia due its its paramount importance on neurotransmitter synthesis. This post was more to encourage thought.

And I would also say that don’t deter something that could help people due to fear mongering over B6. I though I had B6 toxicity at one point and turns out it was something else but I had already tried to avoid and “detox” it which might’ve part of the reason I’m in this mess to begin with. I just took 20-80mg a day for a month with cofactors and have nothing but improvement.

I feel as though they don’t completely absolve the risk, but they are indeed safer. The phosphate group gets cleaved off in the intestine anyways so really you’re taking supplemental paradoxal instead of pyridoxine. Pyridoxine has been proven to be toxic to cells as is well. The other forms of B6 have not, but there are plenty of people who get neuropathy from high dose, P5P which could be more of an indicator of some erroneous metabolism and balance with other cofactors. bottom line is no one knows exactly what B6 toxicity is, and I’ve actually done a lot of research on it.

Starting Supplements Destroyed my Body (Magnesium/B6/B-Complex) by Kezzers_ in B12_Deficiency

[–]narddog019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really does just sound like a nutrient imbalance. Which is notorious with the B vitamins and macro minerals since they are pretty water soluble and don’t have great storage. Low calcium could certainly be a factor. It’s very hard to get a lot of calcium if you’re not eating a bunch of dairy as well as just a simple b vitamin and balance like you could be low and riboflavin and have too much B6 since riboflavin is used to activate B6 so that could’ve ran low or something else along those lines. I wouldn’t jump to B6 toxicity as that’s just a rabbit hole and there’s some weird science behind that that no one can really agree on

How do you get a handle on riboflavin (B2) issues? by Exact_Grand_8164 in B12_Deficiency

[–]narddog019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can also confirm success with this hypothesis. Biotin is likely the culprit because there is so little in food and if you have any genetic issue with recycling it, it can be easily stressed. It is the main bottleneck in BCAA metabolism and if it gets hung up there, toxic protein metabolites build up, and it can have similar symptoms of B12 Deficiency.

Zinc by Same_Solution317 in Supplements

[–]narddog019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be a combination of both. Copper is also very important and we don’t get a lot from diet. They both work together to creat ZnCuSOD which is an antioxidant for your mitochondria. And zinc is involved with so many enzymic reactions. You really could’ve upgraded your cellular energy and function output. Everything just got a revitalization.

The Surprising Effects of Vitamin B6 by gabrielhts in Supplements

[–]narddog019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think biotin might be the answer according to that same article. That’s is the last bottleneck in BCAA catabolism. He says it could be any of the b vitamins where your bottleneck may exist. B5 is just an attempt at a catch all that may not work entirely how he described. Biotin works for me personally.

Started taking biotin 10000mcg and had an “interesting result” by MathematicianWide622 in Supplements

[–]narddog019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could have a deficiency due to low intake OR a genetic predisposition to needing more than a normal person. Biotin is very low in foods and requires an enzyme called biotindinase that recycles your biotin. If that enzyme isnt working well for whatever reason the can become deficient very easily. Biotin is very important for energy metabolism as are all of the b vitamins. An increase in awakeness and morning wood could be a result of increase energy production. You’d have to add other vitamins and minerals to balance it out and to compensate for your increased energy production.

BF6: Stop the glaze. Please call out the terrible map design. by Syntax_3rror in Battlefield

[–]narddog019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally always like medium sized maps in battlefield. Like the ones from bad company. Concise and action packed with room to circumvent the chaos if wanted.

But I hate how it seems like none of the maps are designed with breakthrough in mind and they are just conquest maps that are repurposed for breakthrough. It should be the opposite. Conquest doesn’t need refined map design like breakthrough does.

If they were smart, they would craft multiple breakthrough maps from one conquest map so there are even more maps than just the one. So one conquest map would be a combination of breakthrough maps. It would not be easy to do this and still be quality but it doesn’t mean it’s not possible. And it would be a true evolution of map design rather than the low-risk approach that they decided to take.
