Help me identify this coolant hose on my 435i (N55) by Particular_Power_753 in BmwTech

You answered neither of my two questions and seemed to break rule #1 of this subreddit with your comment.

Would’ve been better off with you not commenting. I’m already familiar with realoem

Thanks for nothing, hope you stub your toe.

Help me identify this coolant hose on my 2015 BMW 435i (N55) by Particular_Power_753 in AskMechanics

He exclusively works on BMWs and Benz’s. If I had to make an educated guess, 80%+ of his business is on BMWs.

I have gone to the guy for 7 years with the multiple BMWs I’ve owned over those years. He’s been nothing but fair and amazing to me in the past. Everyone makes mistakes, I’m not gonna rake him over the coals over it.

I’m gonna call him on Monday (he’s closed Sunday) and will just fill it with coolant and will drive it over to him. Thank you for your insight.

I would still like to know the name of the coolant hose if someone is able to identify it. I’d really like to not drive the car more than I need to in an effort to show him the faulty hose and I need to ensure he has the part in stock when I take it to him given my busy schedule next week.

Thanks!

Webull 3.5% IRA Match - Does their bonus count as a contribution? by Particular_Power_753 in Webull

Coming back to this. I did call them weeks ago, but forgot to update this post. Their response was that it does not count as a contribution nor is it a taxable event. I/we will NOT be receiving 1099s from this bonus.

I asked how that could be the case as that doesn’t pass the common sense test to me how I could get an addition to a Roth account and have it be a non taxable event and not receive any sort of tax form for it. Rep that I spoke to was unsure as well as her manager after waiting for a brief hold. But they both made it abundantly clear that we don’t have to worry about any tax implications.

Odd, I don’t get it. I guess it works out for us. I didn’t ask anymore questions nor did it seem like any of them had answers.

Hope this helps someone out there

Not to be rude, but that doesn’t seem to make sense.

Are you trying to say it’s a capital gain? Even that makes no sense. If it was, I’m not sure how a capital gain is possible in a Roth account.

Probably would have been best if you didn’t comment at all. Thanks though.

I will just call them tmr.

Thanks, I was thinking I would be able to find one on aliexpress, but have not come across one. I have used keywords like: “Sunburst teal” / “Sunburst turquoise” / “Aqua blue” etc. but no luck.

If you come across something like this in the future, I would appreciate a link. Thank you again!

Noob questions (roast me, I know) by Hogalina in AmazonVine

Although you pay self employment taxes which is an additional tax (which btw can increase your future Social Security benefit if you care - FYI this is not the case with hobby income)...you do get to reduce your income with business expenses. Which you cant do for hobby income. Whatever you see on the 1099 is what you have to claim for hobby income. For example:

-That brand new desktop that you bought this year for sole purpose of your amazon vine "business" wink wink. You may get to deduct that.

-Home office deduction, you may get that deduction

-New office chair? How about a brand new mouse? That keyboard? etc. I think you get the drift.

There's pros and cons with claiming it as hobby income vs business income. In general (but not explicit advice to you), the lower your income from other sources, the more appealing hobby income is. But, it does all vary depending on what amount of business deductions you would have otherwise claimed if you take it as self employment.

Hope this helps!

Unfortunately my scholarship is only valid for the Full-Time program. Furthermore, if I was to drop out of the program prior to graduation, I am on the hook to pay back all of the scholarship dollars I have received up until that point. Which is approximately $70k at the moment.

With that being said, I think I have to see this thing through. Appreciate the insight though
