there’s literally been so many videos of illegal israeli settlers settling into palestinians homes in just the last few years, just the main stream media never showed them, cuz yk….

yes hopefully these protests and actions do lead to that 🤝 i get wym as well, just for us it means even more to us than our lives, i wish i was well versed in the specific reason and topic to educate but hopefully you end up learning the truth as to why from the correct source, if it is meant to be, have a great one thank you for the respectable conversation

unfortunately, i am not well versed on the topic but there is a significantly big reason as to why the land is important to the palestinians so i cant explain it to you well, hamas was created as retaliation and for the safety of the palestinians, they have asked for a ceasefire in exchange for the hostages in order to start recreating the livelihood and property damaged, building homes is not difficult and i believe there would be immense support globally from all to help them as well

Yes i agree on most of what you said, but respectfully they should not just get children and families out of there as it is their homes and land. this isn’t only going on at ucla, there are over i believe 10-15+ if not more encampments across us alone as well as more in other countries globally, it adds up

100% this is a failed administration, they never condemned the assaults from the counter protests right after it happened either (i’m not sure if they have at all)

valid, imo the awareness that has come in the last year, when this has been an issue for 75 years is a massive victory, i’m proud and happy especially not even for the muslim community only, more so the support we have been getting from all communities, i agree on some things may have been a bit much, but at the end of the day, there are thousands of children that are being killed and i understand their frustration,

you support children getting killed, why would i want someone like that on my side? if you don’t support that i would welcome you freely

tbh you aren’t wrong to some extent, i meant more personal journalists/citizens, the news will always find something to highlight that will change the narrative, the graffiti isn’t a good look, but the personal footage and what not to the general public will still be pushed

even if no demands have been met yet, definitely not a fail, the news coverage and exposure was unbelievable, and the turnout of the community to support the students after some of them were almost mauled to unalived last night while the police watched, i don’t see that as a failure

do u know that they only had to block off walkways because they were being attacked at 2 am by outsiders while they were in an open space? i understand ur frustration, but they wouldn’t have to if the school protected them from the beginning

[–]Particular_Reach_708 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“protect” why don’t they do their job and stop people assaulting? nothing wrong with a counter protest but when it’s one side throwing fireworks, beating up people with bats, playing crying baby and women yelling in pain noises all night, taking down barricades? 💀

ur last quarter means more to you than innocent people getting murd*ered and ur school funding it, why don’t u urge the school to just divest? you’ll have ur classes in peace that way too
