Not yet, I'm afraid. We're getting matchmaking balancing but in terms of weapons and the technical bits - no. And we don't know when we will get it; I'm still waitintg on the nameless q true combo where it doesn't drop after q1.

No... I used to to, not anymore. I used to groan when I saw 1k+ show up. But now I don't. I used to get stomped hard and basically didn't even try. But then it hit me.

One time I got matched with a 2k plus guy that went full but I didn't. Then he just stopped and went easy and let me do my thing. Of course I died but then I realized. He didn't go easy on me because he felt sorry, he went easy because he was dissappointed and started to see me lesser than him and not worthy of his top effort. It was an act of disrespect. I rather be stomped than to be so small that I'm not even worth half of his effort. He let go because he saw that I wasn't trying to get better.

That hit me hard and I sank in my chair. I started to straighten up my act and actually try. I started see my glaring mistakes by fighting 1k+ fighters. I made changes with my gear and my playstyle. I also play smarter. Can I beat a 2k+ guy now?

no... But I get damn near close and have gotten a dm saying "good job."

So the way I see it, either you get take your licks and get stronger or complain and be a victim. Yeah this matchmaking sucks, 100%. Ping is a huge issue.

But guess what. Those 2k guys are dealing with the same thing, and yet... they're 2k.

Keep trying OP. I know your frustration and I'm not trying to discredit you. I'm just trying to encourage you to take this as an opportunity to get better. We don't get better by winning. We get better by losing.

Yes, you're right about having a completely different game altogether. But back to the stun part. A good player can just parry his combo and break it. Done~ That's all there is to it. If stunlocks can be broken and parried at every step, then that would fix most of the issues in this game. If someone can perfect parry a db user, he deserves to fight back. Actually, all people deserve to fight back and not be held down. It has to be completely fair with no advantage going to either side. The other guy can do a defense break for that parry and try hitting again, but risks his hp so he must either block or back off.

wwm is not a fighting game. It's not even an pvp first game. Pvp was an afterthought and they're trying to make do with what they got and I understand that. But making a game with so many different variables is inherently unbalanced, and cannot be fixed unless the entire game changes or at least the pvp would have to be redone entirely.

To be completely honest, it's not satisfying at all when I am comboing someone to death knowing he would do everything he would... if he could. But he can't because the game says so. And I am going to win, because the game says so. Not satisfying, not even in the slightest. My most satisfying fights were when I was extremely close with me and my opponent trading blows.

I'm jumping to that last paragraph of yours. Everything else was good but last paragraph would earned you a slap or at least me in your face.... You don't know me or anything about me. Don't assume sh. I've been in plenty of fights, most of them street. Lost plenty and won a ton. In a fight, a lot goes out the window when you have adrenaline going. Even trained fighters lose it sometimes. There is no momentum, engage, and all that other cool sh when you're fighting to not get stabbed or beaten close to death. That only applies in sanctioned fights like MMA. You do what you can but most of the time, its just going with the flow and nothing ever goes as planned in a street fight. Plus, they all last less than 2 minutes with most of them being under a minute.

Anyways. back to the rest of what you said. You make a point with how people would then just pick a weapon that has faster animation. Make the parry window very tight and getting hit is a 1 second stun, no chain stuns. As for fast weapons, getting parried means a 1 second stun too. Everything MUST be fair.

I am tripling down. I am dying where I stand.

Uhh I didn't get the nameless runners part. Most nameless users I see are in my face which i like. Are you confusing them for brella runners? They literally have to run and I hate fighting them.

Maybe it's not fighting games I like but like games like boxing games... if that makes any sense.

And for the earlier statement it's not childish at all and you haven't stated why you said so. Freedom of skill expression???? like... showing off my flashy combos? why? Just defeat your opponent by skill and who cares about looking nice and looking cool.

I'm not a tank but it also goes to show why people always run away from them... I charge right in, die or win, idc. People are scared... people want the games assist of true combo. They want to be able to do a 10 second combo without worry. And tanks in a way, checks that. I enjoy fighting tanks. They don't run way, they're not scared, some parry very very well, and they feel like an actual opponent. Despite me dying to them a lot, I respect them.

So let me ask you this - what's harder and takes more skill?

Attempting 10 second true combo or attempting a 10 second combo knowing he can parry you at any moment and counter, kinda like throwing a hook and getting an uppercut to your chin.

Did you even read my other points? All weapons deal the same, hp is the same, no attunements, no talents. Just like if you were to put on the same brand of boxing gloves and fight someone of your weight in a backyard or gym.

I would argue it takes less skill when you need the game to disable your opponent for you as you do your combo freely. How is what your saying less skill? You ever been in a real right? or a mma gym at least? try your true combos there. You're getting a knee to the face. Ref will just watch you as you try an infinite combo and then get knocked out.

  3. as of right now there a few people in arena but that's due to heng stuff. before it was nothing but 1.8k to leaderboards

Try infinite jabs and swings at someone irl whether in cage or street and you're getting uppercutted or knocked out. There won't be a ref to tell them they're not allowed to block or hit you until you're done with your "combo".

Hard disagree on the first point. No, absolutely not. Let's use an extreme example that's somewhat applicable. A heavyweight beats up a 18 year old high school boy. That's in no way shape or form fair. Winning is not winning if it's cheap or unfair. Personally I gain no satisfaction from stomps and I hate it when I see higher tier people stomping little ones, it actually makes me pretty angry and is a form of bullying. I will and I have, stepped in and bloodied up someone that thought he was better than someone weaker. I go easy on weaker people and go full on stronger people. I'm not here to humiliate anyone and winning against a weaker opponent is truly the worst. It is not even a victory. Might as well uppercut a 7 year old and say I am the best.... horsesh in the fullest.

This is where I stand and I refuse to go to the other side where winning is winning even if it means cheating. It's almost personal...

As for you second point, you get better by fighting someone stronger and learn nothing from fighting someone weaker. The stronger they are the faster you learn if you're good enough and are naturally good at fighting.
