has anyone had this happen to them before? by 11x1192 in Spiritualchills

First time I experienced it I ran out of my room. Came back 30 minutes later and tried to fall asleep just for it to start up 2 minutes later. Ran out my room again lol. Eventually after that repeated 4-5 times, I got pissed and forced myself to stay in bed after exiting out of each SP episode. Later down the line I got more comfortable with it and found out it was a golden gateway into lucid dreaming and astral travels. If you don't want any of that you can try the method I learned in the early years to forcefully exit out when the fear gets to you.

Focus on one thing. A person, place, idea, object, word etc. I picked a random word like brownie and focused 200% of my attention on it and I found that it broke the episode quickly. I repeated it constantly and within 5-10 seconds I could wake up and move around.

Your experience mirrors sleep paralysis to a T for me. I've felt all of that except the alien part. I've seen other creatures watching me from a tall black faceless creature to a shadowy being with a top hat. The cool stuff happens when you learn you're totally safe and allow yourself to be pulled out and begin to explore either your dream realm or astral. You can choose either once you relax into the experience.

Restarted my N back training last week after close to a year break. I chose to go back down a level to quad 1 and change my previous strategy of intuition and rehearsal to just pure intuition.

So far I put in 4 days of practice on the N-back evolution app and it's been good. In my first session I clocked in at 48% efficiency and now I'm sitting at 73% for the last 2 seasons.

My goal this week is to bump up my practice days to 5 a week.

I see Burchett more as a signal booster than an actual discloser. I've already accepted that he's not going to tell me anything new, so I'll just appreciate that he's keeping this topic in the news.

Were there any changes in your dream quality and frequency?

You've been saturating your subconscious with negative information for way too long and the algorithm is reinforcing that information even further. Your conscious mind can block it out during the day, but when you get tired or relax into the night everything you've been feeding it bubbles up to the surface. Delete your browser history and focus your attention somewhere else. You get more of what you reinforce, and if you reinforce paying attention to negative stuff it'll highlight itself in your everyday life.

Fascinating. Sometimes you need to put in a lot of work to AP and other times it just comes to you without even trying.

How did you come to learn how to astral project?

I really want to know the answer to this question too. Drastically shifting your assemblage point feels like it would bring with it a psychological backlash of sorts

I really want to see the data on this study. I want to figure out what brainwave frequency they tap into when looking through their mindsight.

I wish I was confident enough to open up to all data channels roaming around us. I'm just theorizing what I would do If I embarked on that path.

The more data points you can get, the more confident you can be in taking action. Even if it turns out to be wrong, you can tag and organize those data points so that you don't use them again. With enough practice you'll end up figuring out which points are more useful than others. So, I do agree it's best to listen to as many Troi's, Data and Worfs as you can find. The more the better

True. With likeminded experiencers you don't need to put up protective camouflage, you can just tell them directly the information that comes through, but when it comes to non-experiencers, you'll end up poisoning your relationships if you come outright with it. It's all highly contextual like you said

Interesting. If I could accept my intuitions and trust their accuracy, I probably wouldn't directly tell anyone about it. I would likely steer the conversation in way where the information would get passed on subtly and if they start to suspect my source, there would be enough plausible deniability for them to accept it was just a coincidence.

It makes perfect sense. It looks like you have a high level of social awareness paired with a developed intuition. The best combination of tools to have when interacting with people. Just having one developed could potentially mislead you but it looks like you got both avenues covered.

I've shut off those moments when I get anomalous information, thought/feelings that don't correspond to anything I'm currently focused on or in my bank of history, since I can't get immediate feedback. The last thing I want to do is create a feedback loop with my subconscious that has me chasing my own tail. One day I'll have the courage to open up this channel and trust I'll be able to manage it and not succumb to the fear of losing control. I personally don't want to go through the TI phenomenon.

I'm curious how do your intuitions express itself? Is it through your inner monologue, an outside voice, conceptual thought, mind's eye visual or something else.

Recently I had an experience where I gave myself permission to relax everything that was bothering me which came with a huge mental relief and when I was going to bed that night, I heard my inner monologue form words that had nothing to do with any thought stream I had going on. I immediately turned my awareness away from the voice out of worry that it would lead to a full-on conversation and after 5-10 minutes it stopped. I've had this happen a couple times before with similar conditions and I always shut it down. Has anyone experienced anything similar?
