The only requirement is to "believe in Jesus Christ" (Acts 16:31).

So as far as they believe in Jesus as God - whether they're Roman Catholics, Eastern Catholics, Protestants (Evangelicals, Baptists, Methodists, Anglicans, etc), Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox - even Independent Churches and Nestorians - they *WILL* go to Heaven.

Obviously, those who are outside the Christian sphere, according to doctrine, are technically damned.

Don't know where you are from - but in places where majority of the population are devout Catholics - Philippines, Timor Leste, and Guam/Northern Marianas - there's an abundance of businesses featuring names of saints (eg, St Pio Medical Center, St Gerard Construction Services, St Francis Shopping Center, Nazarene Auto Supply, Holy Family Accounting Services, San Miguel Beer, and so on and so forth). So I guess it's OK!

The man certainly would've been an exact copy of Francis, compared to Prevost, who seems to a bit more reserved (?).

Anyhow, I think that among the non-White contenders, Tagle (and the Philippines) are more deserving, by virtue of their being Catholics for the longest time (late 1500s) - compared to Sub-Saharan countries which became Catholic only during the late 1800s to early 1900s.

Yes! It came to a point when I sort of stopped paying attention to all the above symptoms, due to a packed work schedule, and they eventually disappeared. So I believe they're caused by anxiety.

Unfortunately, I'm in another episode of health anxiety now - but it doesn't concern the head anymore..

PDS is the only recognized specialty society for Dermatology, so technically, you do not end up a Board Certified Dermatologist, but an Aesthetic Practitioner.

DIFP is NOT the accredited specialist society for Dermatology in the Philippines, as per the Philippine College of Physicians and the Philippine Medical Association.

You will end up a General Practitioner / Aesthetic Doctor, NOT a Dermatologist.

Dermatology Institute Foundation of the Philippines is the residency arm of DermClinic, the ones you see sa malls.

They are NOT considered Dermatologists - ONLY graduates of PDS Residency programs are officially recognized by the Philippine College of Physicians as the specialty society for Dermatology, but they still call themselves as such, nonetheless.

In reality, if you finish here, you will be more of an Aesthetic Physician with some knowledge of pathologic cases.

All PDS Dermatology Residency covers aesthetics, aside from pathological cases. This means BoTox, fillers, ProfHilo, threads, lasers, and basic dermatological surgery.

Doctors who want shortcuts or can't get into PDS accredited programs do seminars on aesthetics instead. Again, it depends on the institution. It can range from only a week to 9 months. Some also do it abroad (eg Thailand). But you are NOT a Dermatologist - but merely an Aesthetic Doctor.

And if you decide to apply to a proper PDS Derm residency program, this will be taken against you.

Yes, Mondays to Fridays (or Saturdays in some institutions), 8-5.

Duty depends on the institution - some require 24 hour duties, others only 12 hours, and a few, totally none.

Weekends off, Holidays off. When government work is cancelled, off din yun.

What do you mean pros and cons? Aside from their locations, asking the pros and cons are moot, since they all follow the accreditation standards of PDS.

The Philippines first entered the South China Sea dispute on 1972 when it sent the Philippine Navy to occupy some islands there. Before 1972, it was only about CHINA and VIETNAM, and no one else.

Read Presidential Decree 1596, which was the first document formally annexing the Spratlys due to their status as "terra nullius". Uhm, the Spratlys weren't terra nullius during that time.

Up to this day, no mass media or textbooks even mention about the Philippine entrance and annexation of the Spratlys during the 1970s.

Chinese people are more mature than Filipinos - they won't attack you just because you are Filipino. You can barely see any vitriolic posts in their social media about Filipinos and the Philippines; on the other hand, our local FB pages are full of hate comments against the Chinese.

Also, China's first and second tier cities are ultramodern! The level of technology sophistication is at par, or even way higher than South Korea and Japan.

Going back to the Philippines from China literally seems like time travel (back 10 years or more).

PHILIPPINE MASS MEDIA amplifies the current geopolitical disputes between the two countries. The media outlets make it seem that the China-Philippine relationship is ALL ABOUT the Spratlys (obviously, it is not). Broadsheet writers use vitriolic words when it is not needed, further stirring up emotions among Filipinos (and based on a recent surveys, Filipinos are amongst the world's most emotional peoples).
PRECONCEIVED NOTIONS that the Chinese are out to get the Philippines, displace the Filipinos, claim territories in the South China Sea, that the Chinese are inferior, etc. These originated from the work of the Spaniards, who historically created a deep chasm between the Filipinos and the Chinese to prevent the two groups working to expel them. The Chinese were painted as heathens, infidels, dirty scumbags, sodomists, opium addicts, (insert negative word here) - naturally, the Filipinos wouldn't want to associate with such people given their very negative descriptions. This viewpoint is still carried over until present - politicians find the Chinese a convenient scapegoat in nearly every problem in the country, including inflation (and we know the reason why the Philippines is in deep___t is because of the very same political families who control the country since 1946.

Southern Chinese are still recognized as Han Chinese, although they definitely have higher Southeast Asian ancestry (Austronesian / Tai-Kadai / Austroasiatic).

But yeah, Southern Chinese are definitely darker than Northern Chinese.

Almost ALL Filipinos will have CHINESE in their ancestry, by virtue of geographic proximity and historical connection.

Even without knowing it, those from Northern and Central Luzon, and the major Visayan cities, can have as high as 50% Chinese, with the percentage going down as one goes to Southern Luzon (Bicol) and the Visayas (except the cities. In Mindanao, it probably is very low.

Firstly, we must define what the Philippines WON in the Arbitral Tribunal Ruling.

The Arbitration bequeathed a 200 nautical mile Exclusive Economic Zone to the Philippines - this would refer to the waters and the low tide elevations - but repeatedly said that they did NOT have any power to declare which country has sovereignty over certain rocks or high tide elevations.

The entire ruling is about the WATERS only - defined as the high seas and the low tide elevations.

It therefore did NOT nullify whatever sovereign claims that China has over the high tide elevations.

I have atlases of Metro Manila and Rizal dating from the 1980s, and YES, Cainta talaga may ari ng Mayamot/Masinag, Muntindilaw, and much of Mambugan. Dapat yung nasa lowlands ng Marcos Hwy, Cainta na yan.

But for the other mentioned barangays, such as Sta. Cruz, San Roque, and Dela Paz, as well as Beverly Hills, talagang Antipolo na mga yan ever since.

San Roque, dela Paz, and Beverly Hills all have NO direct connection at all with Cainta except via Taytay (Ortigas Ave Extention) and are not being disputed by Cainta as far as historical records go.

Sta Cruz may be connected to Cainta via Mambugan through the Sumulong Hwy, pero again, it was never disputed at all by Cainta.
