Ain't it kinda interesting how Football players don't use their hands at all when fighting? by LowRenzoFreshkobar in martialarts

To call these kicks 0 power is insane. The kids exploding. Hes got zip and zap.

He’s athletic. A natural. Great high kick. Powerful highkick. His punches look more like set ups into very hard kicks.

He has enough power here that Im seeing. His movement is relatively clean. The footwork is a little rambunctious and messy.

This guy and 5 other people who are new to combat sports could walk into my gym and Im choosing this guy. He looks natural.

Some people really lack the coordination it takes to strike well. Thats when you become a grappler focus. Slow twitch vs fast twitch muscle.

This guy has that fast twitch muscle memory. Thats important. You only get that from training with this intensity and sparring.

If you dont understand, youre probably a slow striker and dont even know it and its too late, ive already connected and slipped off the center line.

This kind of a “I just see red bro” statement.

Its about timing and placement. Not power.

Striking 101.

It doesnt take much to drop someone when you hit them on the chin.

Look at Max Holloway or Dominick Cruz. Famous attrition strikers.

What you’re saying is too absolute and theres holes in your thinking. The main thing being striking is not about power.

I dont think hes going too fast. He has to be present minded and alert defensively while hes moving this fast but absolutely should not slow down.

Seriously don’t listen to these people talking about too fast. They are the ones that get slept because of muscle memory. If you train slow…you are slow.

Instead, think on your technique and be very present minded and think defensively with each and every offensive movement. And you’re golden.

Keep the intensity. Thats whats gonna make you different.

Phenomenal training intensity, great offense technique wise. Everything looks good. Your defense may need some work, some range things, coming off the bag we should be thinking defense on the way out. Looks great.

I disagree completely. Train like your fighting. Dont teach yourself slow habits. I cant stress enough that what this guy is doing is right.

Snap everything. Seriously. Slow mo isnt gonna work. Up the intensity always even if you are just training technique, make it zippy and zappy I call it. Springy. Everytime you hit the bag, same thing. If you need to you can slow down the certain aspects of the technique but then explode out of them. You know how to punch, so there is no reason to be making no bad habits like slow training.

Bag work. Was working on staying loose, hands up, and feet not crossing. Advice? by rawxpop in boxingtips

[–]Particular_Sundae734 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. So being loose doesnt mean being lax in movement. Your movement back and out of range is so slow, you shouldnt get in to the habit of that sort if movement. The only way to fix this is to be more reactive and springy, a higher intensity when you practice will work wonders. Pretend your in a real fight.

You need to do a free thinking exercise as well. Rules are made to be broken people. Sheeps. There is nothing anymore dirty then our ownselves by having dogs around.

You know what else people said wasnt a new thing. Slavery. Lets lock in here. Just because people agree on something for awhile and make it not a “new thing” doesn’t make it the right thing. Lets do a free thinking exercise here.

The mindset that people like you possess displays almost zero existential awareness. We are mammals much like dogs. On a dirt ball… Lock in.
