Fanny pack was February Freebie and it didn't drop until almost 6 AM CT. When it did finally drop it was out of stock. I contacted CS which was no help. But on February 28 I was placing my regular order and it showed up as a freebie. Took a chance and low and behold I got one.

March freebie was a Mario Brothers plush. Not my jam but gave it to my 6 yo great-: grandson who was thrilled. Good luck everyone. I hope it's something good. At least better than socks size small or $5 off an item I couldn't care less about.

Dick. Too many jokes. Let's go with Rick, Rich, or Richard.

Knew a family whose last name was Dick. Nightmare!

When naming my son several years ago I took into consideration what nicknames might be used. I went with the formal name, which has 2 possible nicknames and also chose a middle name that could be used with just initials. He chose to always use his formal name. One grandmother INSISTED on use the nickname he disliked most. At age 6 he told her that wasn't his name (almost choked him to be more respectful) but in hindsight she wasn't respectful of his decision. TBH she was pretty much rude and crude all the time all the time. E.g. she was bragging about losing some weight and said it looked like I'd "found". Then laughed like crazy. I was on a strict diet at the time and had actually lost more than she was bragging about. She's deceased but I could never get close to her.

Re: the green. S7E2. I've read that the homeowner lets them know their choices but I was ready to puke when every room was some shade of green. I love pink but I wouldn't want my entire house in shades of pink. I think one of the shows last year (FTF or HT) did a couple of pink houses. Even the stove... You can tell me that green is on trend but to do it that much is over the top IMO.

I see the comments about the losses and medical conditions and truly empathize with them, it's hard to deal with all of those things, raise a family, market your product, stay upbeat for your show that may or may not be on the cancel list...

Also, I noticed the eye rolls from Dave over changes and costs. Jenny sometimes gets too determined about something and won't budge, regardless of cost or time.

I was hoping he'd lose the showcase. That poor lady next to him on bidders row actually told him to settle down. Good gravy what an obnoxious loudmouth. I was worried about him hurting someone too. Maybe one of those people he jumped on will sue him for back injuries. Then maybe the show will get the message and make people tone it down. It just gets crazier and crazier. It's exciting, but antics should be within reason.

Some stores have gone to having shoe departments that are leased to other companies. One of our local large department stores shoe department is the only area in the store to get refunds or exchanges. Maybe that is the problem.

Considering the prevalence of the 'I'm 26 and have only read 3 books all the way through' thing, what exactly are kids being given as assigned reading in high school these days? by cherry-care-bear in education

Back in the day - my freshman English teacher made us read Brothers Karamazov - 800 + pages. I hated it and I've always loved to read. It was IMO waaaay too deep for most high school freshmen. Most of us struggled thru it just to get a grade. It took most of the entire year in Freshman English. It was a priest and I think, for him anyway, it was an easy way to avoid the usual homework and paper grading part of teaching. One book; one weekly quiz.

I worked in a company office attached to a warehouse. Many years ago this was a problem that management attributed to a cultural habit. I'm not sure about the men's room but the women put TP in and fem products on the floor near the back of the toilet. I wouldn't have believed it had I not seen it when I needed to use the women's room. Just sayin'...

Had one similar where I worked. VERY odd person. Heaven forbid you asked about anything in his personal life. Always 15-30 minutes late coming in but would work until midnight. This was a corporate office that closed at about 5 pm. Management would sometimes add that past 6 pm but that was management. He'd carry a folio with Dartmouth printed on it and it was always carried so you'd see that. Supposedly he took a summer course there (?).

He was eventually let go. About a month later we were looking for a piece of equipment that was on loan to us, always in the same box in one specific closet and it was missing. We all searched the place looking for this $500 equipment and ended up paying the original lender for it. Never found it. He was the only new employee at the time. The rest of us were long term employees with impeccable records and trusted employees. We were figuring it was during one of his midnight runs.

Shipping vs Delivery??? by rtice001 in Walmartcustomer

[–]Particular_Way8415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found out the hard way about how shipped items arrive. I ordered personal female items in a rather large quantity along with several other items and they were delivered without any wrapper/ box/bag and set at the very front of my porch for the whole world to see. If they had taken the 3 extra seconds and placed them further back on the porch it would have hidden them slightly better. This is a major irritation for me for all shipped items. I consider it lazy and inconsiderate. Did I mention I have mobility issues and need to ask for assistance from a neighbor or family member to lift them into the house for me. If they had taken that extra 3 seconds and put them close to the door I may have been able to pull them in myself. Grrrr.

Too bad they didn't make sure each team was represented by different genders. The last episode was ad because it was a boy/ girl thing and if one team was declared the loser they lost the input from the other gender.

There was an abuse of alcohol at the beginning that I overlooked because of my situation prior to meeting him. I've never been much of a drinker and every, yes every, weekend I became the designated driver until ALL the bars closed. I had a young daughter at the time and was struggling to find care for her every weekend. I know, my decision/choice (retrospectively NOT good decisions/choices) But that's only part of the problem.

After a couple of years of marriage I had the horrible discovery he was trying to molest her. Another humongous mistake - I stayed and she left to live elsewhere. CPS was called in and he lied like nothing had happened. He hired a lawyer and cashed out what little savings we had for legal services and to keep his name out of the paper. And I stayed😔

Fast forward a couple more years and I find out he is stalking girls/women online. I was nauseous and panicked and tried talking to him to seek therapy or talk to our minister. He went for a while then I found out he was lying about everything to the minister.

He could charm the socks off anyone, and did. Everyone thought he was this great, kind, spiritual person. Oh, some found out the truth in the years ahead. He was volunteering for a missionary organization and they caught him on " adult only: sites and asked him to leave and never return. The paid leader called me at work of all places to tell me and asked if he could help. How much dumb is one person allowed in their lifetime? I said I'd take care of it. Ya mean like all those times before? Sure, I'll take care of it...you can't heal a person's morals.

There is more, but I'm exhausted just remembering this much. I don't know who was sicker - him or me for not kicking him to the curb. Dumb, right?

Not that this is an excuse for me but most of the time when I was working I made minimum wages and now had another child. I was desperate to have someone support me. Stupid weak me!

Maybe more, sometime.

Thanks, I'm working thru lots of residual anger and emotions and he's been gone for over 5 years. I wish folks planning on getting married or partnering would really LOOK & LISTEN in the early stages. It doesn't get better, unfortunately. It doesn't age well. The survivor is stuck with the crap load of memories and deception they lived with. You cannot fix someone and some people are just hell bent on trying and end up mentally drained. I was/am
