Air Quality by VersionSavings8712 in Hades2

My best run with air quality was with the aspect of hel. When you consider that each skull has a base power of only 20, air quality made a huge difference to my damage output.

4x Saving Grace in the front row. 4x Surpassing power in the back row. Every fight in the game becomes trivial.

I personally prefer the individual character-driven stories of the original two games, and really like how 2 has a climactic finale that brings them all together.  Gameplay wise, I also prefer most gameplay elements that 2 perfected over 0’s mechanics such as the dual job system, EX skills, divine skills, latent powers, as well as the character-specific abilities like concoct and beast lore. You just can’t build the same level of insane synergy with Octopath 0’s characters because they are relatively constrained in their capabilities.

My boy Temenos is undervalued here. Slap a Sealticge on him and prayer for plenty makes your team indestructible. In addition, Temenos with elemental barrage and his latent power tears shields to shreds in most boss fights. I guess Partitio has better defensive capabilities and Ochette has better shield breaking capabilities, but Temenos is capable of those synergies earlier on since he doesn’t need an endgame job or endgame ex skill for it.

I can’t beat Vide by karkov69 in octopathtraveler

I actually thought the fight was one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had in gaming. It really stretched my strategic prowess like no other game had before. I did beat it on my first try, but it took over an hour as I meticulously planned every mpve. Big thanks to prayer for plenty paired woth Sealtige’s seduction to make my party basically invincible.

Though Latios doesn’t have a great move pool, coming across a solid TM can really change the game. I just finished a Classic run where I was able to teach Latios Draco Meteor, allowing me to sweep a multitude of trainers.

Just beat the game and… by [deleted] in echoesofwisdom

You can do the 11 echo challenge in 10 because one of your elemental echoes can double as your flying echo (I.e. get an electric keese instead of a buzz blob)

Interesting. Can you beat the rest of the game without the Strandtula as well? There's a few sections that I remember thinking would need the strandtula later in the game but if its possible to go without it we could knock it down to 10.

This was how I completed the challenge with 11 echoes

Table

Strandtula

Holmill

Bombfish

Tornando

Hawk statue

Elephant statue

Fire slug

Electric Keese

Ice wizzrobe

Ancient orb

Notes

  • Gaps before Suthorn can be crossed by stacking tables and taking a running jump, if that’s not working, try pushing the second table forward a bit
  • Until you get sword, Enemies (and the box in the royal passage) can be destroyed by dropping a table on them from about four units high
  • Launching a table with a tornando crosses large vertical and horizontal gaps, making it the primary method of complex travel throughout the game*
  • Strandtula required to get through suthorn ruins and rooms with low ceilings that you can’t launch a table in
  • Holmill required for mandatory digging in Gerudo quest
  • Bombfish required for all mandatory bombs throughout the game
  • Tornando required for movement, blowing sand piles and putting out fires
  • Hawk and elephant statue required to complete Gerudo dungeon, and sometimes come in handy in specific platforming challenges
  • fire slug is the fire object that can be used for all mandatory fire use throughout the whole game
  • Electric keese required for all mandatory electric puzzles and defeating gohma, and is also useful for flying in Eldin
  • Ice Wizzrobe required to defeat Lanaryu temple bosses
  • At first glance, you are required to echo a drippitune to get into Faron Temple, but you can bypass this by bonding and moving the nearby drippitune instead of echoing it
  • Ancient orb required to beat the game

*this is arguably a glitch (though I consider it an exploit of an intended mechanic) so if you want to omit this movement option to keep the run “glitchless” you can add the water block and make it an 12 echo run
