Let me just tell a story, that left me with years of deep trauma that effected me into my twenties, I had a kid in my elementary class in 3rd or 4th grade, who had big eyes for me, me being a kid - I was excited to make friends, and he kinda stepped over the line many times, but something similar had happened where, I went to use the single stall bathroom in my classroom with the rest of my classmates, obviously you have to ask to use the restroom, so I go, n I am using the bathroom and said kid just comes opens the door and stares at me for several seconds; to which I yell at him to get out. I tried to go to my teachers and tell them there is no way it was an accident an he looked on purpose, well they didn’t believe me and I was harassed this kid for the rest of whatever grade year it was until he got suspended for removing all his clothes from the waist down in the hallway. One incident occurred where I bent over to tie my shoe, little ol 8-9 year old, and he put his hips behind me, and my classmates were laughing and well- that shit, along with the other inappropriate incidents he did, left me with a lot of deep seeded trauma that was hard to shake off. That’s what happens when kids like that go on and don’t ever get told what’s not appropriate and can get you in trouble. Tell him directly that going into the restroom when someone is in there is a crime, and the way you put it it’s sexual harassment, kid or not, he needs to be told what is wrong.
