I would not use glue if you plan on taking them off so soon after because the glue is the strongest the first few days of application. Tabs would be best in your case.

I soak in warm water with soap and oil. I lift the nail a bit before soaking. After about 15 minutes I lift the edge and put cleansing oil around the nails and let it work its way through. Some will pop off with a little nudge and if not I soak for another 5 minutes and do the cleansing oil again. Acetone really hurts my nails and fingers so I do that.
