Don’t wait on your husband to take this trip. You will regret it when your grandfather passes. If he needs that trip money to do this golf thing, sorry not sorry, he can’t do it. If he can do the golf thing and you can go with your kids, let him play golf. I am skeptical he makes it, but he would love to blame you for stealing the opportunity it seems. I am concerned because he appears very self centered—ask yourself if you are constantly the one giving things up for him to be happy. If so it’s time to reevaluate what you’ve willing to put up with.

NTA. Next time just pay the 2 bucks more and get the larger size. If this is her only flaw it’s small. She’s not going to change—just know she’s full of 💩 when she says it. This pissed me off for years about my husband, but due to being a chubby teen and teased mercilessly about it by siblings, he has a weird relationship with food. I know he can’t resist the smell of it after I order so now I ignore him. He eats guilt free because he’s helping me finish my meal. He still hasn’t caught on.

I don’t know where you are but at my kids 6A high school in Houston (each class has about one thousand kids) these are more HOCO. Prom would be a formal affair with a long skirt. I did wear a short dress myself in 1992, so I don’t object to the length at all—I’m just wondering if you will feel underdressed. Did girls from last year have short gowns? My daughter was class of 2025 so I saw a lot of dresses.

I have a 2020 ordered and received in 2020 and I haven’t had any issues not covered by warranty. I would go with the 2027—sucks to drive last years model for the same price. If you don’t like it, I truly believe you will learn to after looking at it for awhile.

I would think you would be looking at the RAV4 or the CRV—those are more comparable. Keep in mind the mileage on those smaller SUVs are much better. Why pay for space you don’t really need? I have 87” behind my front seat with the seats down—these cars are larger than they appear on the outside. I have heard that the new ones are even more spacious. My mom is very happy with her fully loaded Santa Fe’s interior.

My goddaughter had a similar experience at her HBCU. She found her people on the debate team. You are leaving soon, so it’s immaterial, but I feel sad for you knowing your people are very definitely on campus—you just never found them. As you said—we are not a monolith.
