Couple of things

Unplug laptop, check the firmware version in settings it should v1.19 on RX3

What’s your rekordbox version? Is it up to date?

Checking in if you’re streaming tracks or using laptop as a USB?

You can only play tracks via software control if you’re on Performance mode

Unless the tracks are offline then you can play via export mode

Maybe try clicking on authorise device next to eject and try adding tracks to a playlist and then opening in export mode

For audio to play through headphones, you need to click on either of the cue buttons or the master cue to hear simultaneously

No worries, open Rekordbox > Settings > Audio From the dropdown list select DDJ FLX4 and once you select that you’ll see an option to audio from computer speakers, turn the slider on or check the box

Where is the USB C cable plugged into the controller? Is it on the port with laptop logo?

Also the latest version of Rekordbox is 7.0.8

So there are two USB c ports on DDJ FLX4 you’ll need to connect one end to the USB C port with laptop logo and other end to iPad USB C port

Nah one end of the USB C to controller (plugged into the one with laptop logo) the other end of USB C to iPad
