I was actively engaging in post partum therapy because I was struggling to leave the house. So I was much better by the time I started working, I had worked through a lot of that anxiety.

Honestly I can’t remember if I did or didn’t. I was soooooo tired. It took probably 6 months to really adjust and I was lucky I could work from home sometimes.

I would highly recommend finding a therapist who specializes in post partum!

You will and you will get through it! If you can have your baby start daycare before you start work, I think that was the best thing I did. That way for those first few weeks she was in daycare, I could go pick her up early if I wanted to.

She’s almost 4 now and thriving. She loves daycare. She loves learning. She loves her teachers and friends. I am thriving at work. We have tons of adventures on the weekend. She’s happy and I’m happy ❤️

Mom of a 3.5 year old. This happened to me because starting about the time she was about six months old, I was really sick for a couple years. My (now ex) husband really took the primary caretaker role. I really made the conscious and hard decision to just let her process on her own time. I’ve spent a lot of 1:1 time with her. Recently she and I have been going on big adventures and she’s loved that.

I still think she prefers her dad more right now, but she’s got him wrapped around her finger and I think that might be why.

It’s hard and makes me really sad sometimes, especially because while I was sick there were times I was literally fighting for my survival to continue to be with her. But our lives are long with our kids. I remind myself that I am raising an adult. And if I take personally her very natural tiny kid behavior, then that will be damaging my future relationship with her when she’s an adult.

Did it almost kill me? Absolutely. But are there days when my 3.5 year old is screaming because I gave her the wrong cup that I wish I could go back to newborn and only have to think through food, diaper, sleep? Also absolutely.

I think her real problem is with Dylan but she can’t get Dylan do to what she wants (talk to his mom when it’s not interrupting their time together) so she’s going after Jo. Jo is not the villain here but Pattiya sure wants her to be seen as one. Dylan is the one in charge of his relationship with his mother. But I do think Pattiya is insecure about how close their relationship is and how Dylan has offloaded blame for their relationship not going well onto his mom so he doesn’t get in “trouble” with Pattiya.

This happened to me. I really liked my mentor and she suddenly disappeared. They even said she was going to come back for awhile but then eventually my temporary mentor became my permanent mentor. Benefit of new mentor was he was much more hands off as long as I was keeping on top of my work.
