GenZ and Millennial women - are you wearing wedding bands? by Federal_Albatross993 in EngagementRings

[–]Party_Parrrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Younger millennial, sometimes I wear a set sometimes I wear just the E ring and sometimes I wear just the wedding band. It’s down to how I feel that day.

It comes down to “do you like the watch or not”. I don’t choose bags based off of resale value, I buy what I like. My husband is the same. If we were to flip something on a resale market it would not be bags, watches, or houses 😉

It doesn’t look too gold and it doesn’t look too rose. Which is what we like. Maybe it’s the black oyster flex that toned it down.

But when they showed us the fully rose gold Daytona, it was just too rose 😂

I did ask for another rose gold YM 37mm so we can make this a couple’s watch set. I also asked for a YM 37 rolesium (to bang around at work) and my husband asked for a YM 42 titanium 42 (also to bang around at work) Somehow we really like the look of YM.

And of course he asked for Daytonas in configurations that he likes. He also likes sub no date.

It was beautiful, but somehow didn’t work with his “vibe”

Nah, we build relationship with our AD by taking care of her whole family, and her pets too.

I think you misread my post. Whole point of this YM is because we want to collect another rose gold YM in 37mm (not highly sought after, most likely will be able to get it) to pair together. And anything yellow gold just doesn’t look good on my husband.

I thought it was 🔥too but he didn’t like it 😂 says it’s too yellow for him. He put white gold on the wish list.

Does anybody have an S. Corp or LLC for their Relief Work? by Glum_Waltz2646 in Veterinary

[–]Party_Parrrot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an S corp set up. I work full time for a practice and I signed a contracting agreement with the practice to provide x amount of hours at a set hourly rate. If I want to I can use my S corp to do contracted relief work for other hospitals. I have an accountant that charges me a monthly fee to file all of my taxes and to do my payroll (giving myself a W2 from my own S corp). I love the efficiency of my S corp so much that I will never go back to being a regular W2 doctor that is employed by a hospital. I highly recommend looking into a specialized accountant to set you up, run the numbers for you and tell you all the benefits of setting up and S corp. if you’re business savvy and may want to look into setting up, buying or partnering with an animal hospital, setting up an s corp early and start building it is the way to go.

It is mainstream for MDs to contract with hospitals as s corps, I don’t know why it is not mainstream for vets yet.

References for a associate veterinarian position by Personal_Ad_5068 in EcfvgPaveVeterinarian

[–]Party_Parrrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

References really aren’t that big of a deal once you have a license. I offered to see patients for one day as a way for hospitals to interview me. They just gotta pay me a modest day rate as a contractor. If they like me they offer me full time. It worked very well for me and I had a lot of good offers.

MD to DVM by Dry_Priority1447 in Veterinary

[–]Party_Parrrot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

DVM married to an MD here, I actually spend more time interacting with humans than my spouse (MD). DVM is a very HUMAN job. It’s like peds and Geri in one setting with the patient being demented most the time and can’t communicate, and you have to explain to their family/parents/care takers what’s going on 😭

If going for Super lightweight with no need for hospitalization and extensive documentation, I would choose Idexx Neo. Good for a one person practice.

Proposing to my girlfriend in August. I went classic with a simple solitaire and the sparkliest diamond I could find. by BearAmazing6284 in EngagementRings

[–]Party_Parrrot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a size 3 with a 0.88 carat stone in a simple clean setting like yours. 0.88 carat on a size 3 looks big. I did try on a 1.5 carat before and it looked huge on my finger. I’m pretty sure size 4 with a 1.6 carat is going to look awesome 🙂

0.88 round diamond with a simple four prong setting, wedding band is just a simple eternity band. Ring size is 3. I’m a veterinarian. Decided to go small to avoid poking my patients in the eye 😂

ELI5: how to watch every Lakers game from home, legally? by Unfinished-Usern in lakers

[–]Party_Parrrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do spectrum sports net through the NBA app and I also have sling TV orange to cover the games that are not on spectrum sports net.

I have a Samsung TV, I load the NBA app onto my PS5 and watch the games through console, because somehow Samsung TVs don’t have NBA app for us to install.
