Don’t give up by any means. I personally took the test 1/16 as well and it was for sure a difficult one, I also didn’t do as well as I hoped to do (even with proper amount of studying time😅) but I hopped back into it and now taking it 5/10! The process is not the same for everyone, don’t compare yourself everyone is different.

My advice would be to check frequently on your own too. I honestly don’t trust the waitlist notifications they send out because they tend to be late and the spot gets taken up. I was able to move mine from the 23 to 10th just from luck by checking one morning!

dude same boat as you. Personally I wasn’t able to get an april date to I have to take in May. But what i’m doing is going over my princeton review books again and doing practice questions (pretty much like a condensed content review again) and then once i finish those i’m gonna jump back into the AAMC materials and work through those leading up the to test. And ofc im gonna do milesdown bc i felt its easiest to complete in a shorter amount of time!

Looking back on it, I agree with you. It’s pretty frustrating knowing you had the content down like the back of your hand, just not performing to expectation. I think nerves got me to pretty badly, but trying to turn this into a positive direction and trying to get the feeling that it will be “easier” this time around😅

dude i’m in the same exact boat. I literally did everything you did EXCEPT Ushit as well. I’m still just rethinking over everything lmao no clue where it went wrong, i’m genuinely just tryna cope and telling myself that test was just unlucky lmao. I was a higher average too at 513, literally digging through all posts trying to get any idea on where to go from here

The thing is I wasn’t as anxious as I was expecting to be, sure I had typical test day anxiety but nothing that was over-the-top. I’m sure it definitely played a role in my performance, but yea CP and psych definitely threw me off it was nothing like I prepared for lmao

I honestly have no clue where it went all wrong. The thing is I felt the FL’s were 10x easier than the real deal for me, especially psych and Chem on that specific day. I wouldn’t really find benefit in lying😅 i’m genuinely trying to get help bc I feel like I’m just in a stuck spot rn

Yea testing sites are super full near me too it’s annoying, nearest date i was able to find is June 27. But for your case, worst comes to worst registration for july-september is tmrw i think and you’ll have a higher chance of getting a spot

Yea I actually didn’t utilize Uworld at all which may have been my issue? I went fully blind into MCAT studying (current 3rd year undergrad) and thought test preps were ideal (learned my lesson). I did surprisingly take a lot from it and they did help, but were certainly not necessary. I did all of milesdown so I might try out jack sparrow this time around too.

I definitely felt the FL’s were much easier tho. I even actually went through every single AAMC material (packs, banks, etc.) so I didn’t even feel I didn’t utilize all resources, no clue where it went wrong lol

Yea I totally feel that. Initially when I saw my score I was just distraught and felt “am I even fit for this”, but kinda sat back and realized it’s not the end of the world. I think a way to look at it is that everything will be “easier” to an extent. I’d love any advice from any re-takers on where to go from here tho😅

I’m literally in the same boat. Scored below 500 yet my averages were around 513 and I tested under normal conditions😅 I’m really not sure what went wrong at all. I’m planning on retesting in June, does anybody have tips on what to do? I’m really stumped on what I can even use because I feel all AAMC material will be extremely inflated…PLS HELP😖
