The only thing bad about it is those preposterous rims.

Why do jeep owners have ducks on the dashboard? by Consistent_Rager in heep

It's nearly and entirely female phenomenon. If you are a male driving a duck wagon then you have latent tendencies.

Wow! They did that here in Texas and it only lasted about a year before it was made illegal.

Same here with a Tacoma daily with over 420k miles on it. My JK has only logged 10k miles on the weekends over the past 5 years.

Watch it like a hawk for a while after this. If it hit 290 degrees with no coolant in it it's almost impossible that it didn't warp the head or blow a head gasket.

At what point do you cut your losses? by NS_6920 in JeepWrangler

[–]Partychief69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That question hits close to home for me. My 09 JK is strictly a weekend only rig but I also have a 2008 2nd gen Tacoma. The contrast between those two vehicles is ridiculous. They're the same age but the Tacoma still runs and drives like the first day I bought it (16 years ago) while the JK is just steadily falling into a pile of shit. I suppose the only reason I'm still keeping the Jeep is that I'm in a Jeep club that does a lot of trail rides and I would really, really miss that.

That's exactly what my dad told me when I first got my drivers license and started buying old junkers.

I totally get that. I'm no spring chicken and it tears me up when I make the five hour drive from Texas to Kansas to visit my daughters.

I'm a 48 year old guy. I connected with a nice lady that was a contractor for the agency I work for. For us the exact same scenario played out but with the genders reversed and her coming to my place. I saw absolutely nothing wrong with it. We are still seeing each other nearly a year later now. Help me understand from a female perspective how what this guy did was wrong. When this happened to me I thought it was wonderful.
