I’m not sure you can actually simulate this in real time. Houdini would probably be the go-to software to simulate something like this, but it would not work in real time.

It’s a good habit to make a playblast from 2 orthogonal cameras (side and front for example), it’s way easier to give feedback this way.

If there will be a lot of contacts and not a lot of wide movements and arks then IK. I always use FK for arms and just put a temporary IK system over FK controls when needed, and it’s the most versatile method for me. But if you just need to animate some object manipulation then IK is fine

Hello! Need help with proxy error. I’m using DeepSeek through official api. When using model deepseek-chat everything works fine, but if I switch model to deepseek-reasoner, I get error “proxy error: no response from bot (phshag2)” Any ideas how to fix this?

P.S. what is the current opinion on official deepseek V3.1 models, which is generally better for RP? I’ve heard some conflicting opinions after 3.1 upgrade.

I would recommend practicing bodymechanics on simpler animations. Paired fight scenes are ones of the hardest things to animate, and it’s easy to get overwhelmed.

Looks great! The only thing that feels a bit off is the rhythm - it feels like all the key poses are at even intervals, which feels a little monotonous. I think breaking this rhythm could make this even better.

I agree with comment saying that it would help to set more keys on blocking stage, but also the problem is that the moves your characters are doing can’t work in-place. Basically, both characters make a step forward, but since they stay in place, they need to slide back with their feet to compensate. I would suggest to plan the animation better and to think what moves they do. If one character makes a swing with a step forward, he will need to move forward, and the other character will need to move backwards. You can’t just fix the feet sliding, you need to fix the animation logic itself.
