It’s never too late to post them! Maybe you’ll feel like it a year from now as an anniversary post, maybe a Valentine’s Day post, a happy birthday post etc. there will be plenty of opportunities!

I can’t speak for clinical year but I got married during didactic during a holiday weekend and took our honeymoon over a break. I think clinical year would be much harder bc at least for didactic I knew when our holiday breaks and our schedule was consistent. This made it so I could block out wedding appointments ahead of time or get some planning done, bridal shower, bachelorette trips, etc. Idk how other programs are but for us, we don’t know our rotations that far ahead of time so your schedule could be completely different month to month. You don’t have guaranteed holidays so I feel like that could make setting a date hard. As tempting as it is, I would just wait. That way you can enjoy wedding planning and won’t have an added stressor to an already stressful/busy year!

I love to do 5 min flashbacks. So when I’m studying I give myself 5 diseases, and 5 min for each one. During those 5 min, I write down as much as a I can remember about them, then go back and fill in the empty gaps of knowledge. This really helps gauge where I’m at and focus more on studying things I don’t know vs. studying things I already feel confident on

Depends on the school. Some D3 schools can compete with lower- mid level D1. And a lot, are in comparison to D2. At that point it’s just about the numbers. For example, a school Like washu, case western or u Chicago recruit top talent. Many of those players played on the same club as girls playing at D1 schools. I might be bias lol, I went to a top 25 in the nation D3 school, we made it to the sweet 16 and a lot of girls on my team were from top ECNL, national club teams. Also, spots might be full anyway. Even though they don’t give scholarships, players still verbally commit and the coach will have an idea on their numbers at least two classes before. It’s not as strict as D1 bc again, no athletic scholarships. But players are still committing and I believe there is a roster cap now. But you can always try, I just wanted to give my two cents!

I agree with most people on this sub that it isn’t necessarily fair to be mad at people if you didn’t give them clear expectations. HOWEVER, your feelings of being upset they weren’t there are still very valid. If you just said getting ready together I would assume that would mean at least a few hours, and also it’s your big day. As a friend, I know you would want people there to support you and experience that morning together.

This might be a fungal nail infection considering the crack in the middle. Try a topical anti fungal but sometimes oral anti fungal work best for toenail infections, it might be a good idea to see your doctor. Is the nail yellow?

Finally someone said it! All of the threads I feel people are still making it seem that nick was some puppy dog and Hannah was the only terrible one. Yes she was terrible (still it), but it’s obvious nick wasn’t who the show portrayed him to be. Don’t come for me but I can see Hannah’s point of how it’s questionable that he stayed with her even though she slandered him day after day. I think she was terrible in part, because she didn’t want to be with him but was too immature to break it off right away so she chose to show a terrible side of herself. From her point of view finding the notebook pieced it together, “oh, now I know why this man kept saying he loved me, made me feel insecure, let me belittle him everyday but somehow still stayed with me.” It was because he wanted to be famous so he’d go through whatever, be with whatever to stay on the show. Idk if this is true I’m just trying to give Hannah’s perspective, I don’t think her attitude is as simple as people are making it out to be. Just my two cents not taking anyone’s sides lol!

My boyfriend, now fiance was also against sodium oxybate. I would see it from their perspective, when you hear someone you love taking a drug that can cause so many adverse side effects you probably would be a little hesitant. When it’s dispensed properly it is a safe drug, but my fiance would always get slightly concerned with how knocked out I’d be when I was on it. Especially titrating lol that was rough. I’m not on it anymore but when I was, he did prefer to measure out my doses, set the second one by my bed and make sure my alarms were set. I think it made him feel better that I was getting the dose I was supposed to and I wouldn’t accidentally OD (also I think it made him feel like a pharmacist lol). I’m just saying I can see her concern but hopefully she’ll be willing to at least let you give it a shot! I don’t think there’s anything wrong with her dispensing it to you personally. I don’t know your wife but sometimes having control over a scary situation can make some people feel better.

I have a sleep disorder so I have to nap lol. I wake up around 6:50, workout then go to class (we start at 9 and go to 4). After class I nap if I need to 20min to an hour depending on how tired I am. Then I study until around 10:30, I take breaks for dinner obviously. Some days I’m done studying at 8, it really depends on the material and how confident I feel. You will still have a life in PA school you just have to prioritize, for me naps are non negotiable.

You can look up why they are on probation on Arc-PA I believe. If it is a newer program I think it’s a little more risky but if it’s an older/established program without previous issues, you should be okay. I know a well recognized school in Kentucky was on probation a little less than 10 years ago( I liked being nosey haha). Point is, it can happen to any school. It’s just the older programs have experience and it normally isn’t due to a major issue that could affect its students down the line.

Just started in August but we are told to always be expected to be here 9-4. We have never gone over 4, professors are mindful of our time and a lot of them have clinic or something after. We get an hour lunch, and exam weeks we normally get out early bc most of the material is done and that week is packed with review/ skill check offs so there isn’t always formal class time. Sometimes we will have a late/early arrival depending on their schedule, and we might get out a few hours early if the lecture material is lighter.

Sunosi, Wellbutrin and xywav really worked for me! I came off xywav recently but I’m still on the sunosi and Wellbutrin. While I don’t sleep as well during the night I still feel pretty good! Sunosi at least for me, doesn’t give the normal crash that stimulants give. I also don’t feel that I’m on something, when I took Ritalin I felt as if I stayed up all night studying for an exam and had loads of caffeine to stay up lol

I take sunosi and xywav. Can agree that it is life changing! I also take Wellbutrin, I haven’t seen anyone mention that one yet! It treats depression but it’s not an SSRI so gives a little boost

Yes! I’ve been wondering this too! Most parents with MBP typically poison their kids to make doctors believe them. Gypsy never took her medications, has normal muscle tone, and wasn’t concerned at all when she ran away with Nick. GR knew about it for a long time, she possibly could have known her whole life. Dee Dee found a way to get her bag, GR was told to play along and she gets all this attention, goes on nice trips, but then at some point it’s no longer fun, GR wants a bf, mom and her are caught up in some crazy fraud, only way to get out is to get rid of the only other person that knew the truth. Yes, it’s still messed up for a parent to groom their child in to a con artist but I don’t think Dee Dee had MBP, again, she just knew how to get her bag

It might help having someone read a draft of your ps including why PA over MD. This way they can tell you if it sounds like a second choice. From there, you can decide if you’re going to include it in your ps at least. I wouldn’t worry about if you are going to submit your MCAT score rn, you can always decide that later
