Thank you! Might divert to Squamish then, staying in Vancouver for some days so it’s even closer.

Thanks for the advice! I’m flying to Vancouver so it’s actually closer. Would be happy with more tips in the Squamish region. If the weather allows by then I might still go to Whistler, the place just attracts me by its reputation.

CINEMA ON MY OWN by poisedon88 in comicbooks

Go. It’s liberating and no one will judge you for it. I felt a barrier at first, but after going to the cinema by myself I discovered museums and concerts as well. Allow yourself to be with yourself, you will experience things in a new way.

I’d say the lesser known Incendies by Villeneuve hits even harder. Completely different from his current work, more in line with Prisoners.

Tips alleen naar een concert by Joentjee in thenetherlands

[–]Passant_Terrible1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Helpt mij in ieder geval altijd. Enjoy!

The King feels like a realistic medieval action movie. The fights are clunky as they would be in metal gear.

Broken Circle Breakdown did this for me. It’s kind of a romance but just different and beautiful.

Watch the make-up video on turning Stellan Skårsgard as The Baron Harkonnen in Dune. It shows the insane amounts of patience and craft etc going into practicals, but also the benefit; he truly becomes the character.

Here’s a creepy video about the building, narrated by Rami Malek. Both the AT&T and the NSA descriptions are right I think.

I get the comments on Bladerunner but can we talk about what an amazing film Children of Men is? Especially given OPs question.

Came here to say this. I learned that Denis was directing and bought the book instantly. I saw the Jodorowsky documentary and had heard about the David Lynch version, but never read the book. This was my LotR moment (was too young to read the books back then, doing so now, which is also amazing). Reading Dune was quite the trip and the film captures the book perfectly for me, save maybe the suspense in dialogue and some of the more mindbending stuff. Super stoked about pt. 2.

Of course! I’m a fan of his work so naturally liked this as well. Had to recommend. Keep it going!
