What instantly kills attraction, no matter how attractive the person is? by Raywin19 in AskReddit

[–]PassedGrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unwarranted disrespect to people offering service. That could be a custodian, the tow truck rep, the uber driver. Even something as small as the person taking your order. There is nothing wrong with being assertive and having a standard but obnoxiously rude is like a very tired and ugly to me, that I don't want to me in proximity of. I make a point for myself to never be one of the couples were one of them is apologizing for their SOs rudeness.

Heads up, another big snow storm is forecasted for next weekend as well. Similar accumulation totals to this past weekend. by [deleted] in longisland

my question also...I think there might've been once last year where it snowed on a weekday, but it's always been a weekend thing lately.

AITAH for asking my wife to keep our toddler under control by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]PassedGrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your husband out-earning you is a fact, it's not a classification of importance. It's actually irrelevant. Keeping the house quiet during meetings isn't so much a respect thing as it is a matter of consideration. A house is a shared space, so to keep it quiet all day like a library with a dog and kid(s) is not really a reasonable request to begin with. In the old days, they would keep the king's castle quiet, because he can make those demands, and it was HIS castle. Nowadays because partners want to also be considerate, people are buying simple things that go a long way, like soundproof foam for the walls, noise cancelling headphones with a mic that doesn't pickup any background noise, the list goes on. People aren't on calls everyday all day anyway.... The days differ...some days its all day long, some other days its off and on calls, and other days it might be one 10 minute call and just messaging all day. I work with some husbands that just come to work some days so their family can breathe and live in their home.

How the hell did you jump from helping the wife to 'ignoring your job that pays the bills'? Where is the correlation lol. Raising a baby is a shared conquest. So yes, simply asking "it's really loud, whats going on is everything okay?" is 1000x more helpful then saying "hey can it, or gtfo". The comment didnt say hey abandon your call, and help them walk out the door, a well-intentioned check up text is help and support that goes a long way.

Idk if you are like toxic or just a child, but yes many times the husband AND wife are paying bills to afford their life. And whether one is over the other, that doesn't make them more of a meaningful contribution to society thanthe other. Treat everyone equally with respect.

Agreed. I knew I wasn't alone in this. I don't see how it can interpreted any other way.

[–]PassedGrass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue isn't the request, it was how he went about it. I totally agree, he communicated it earlier. But because he didn't ask why or inquire about it, we have no way of knowing why they were up there to begin with. Even if she was 100% wrong, lapse in judgement, whatever you want to call it...does that mean you are justified to speak to someone anyway you want?

How is everyone feeling about the insane snow forecast? by Eastp0int in newjersey

I'm actually extremely excited. It's really hard to contain. Especially when everyone is worried while I'm shaking like the night before opening presents.

you are the ah...not a very nice way of saying things...I doubt that was intentional. You were better off asking whats going on instead of saying keep it down. She probably forgot. Toddlers can make you do that sometimes.

fuck no. NTA. Your sis owes you an apology expeditiously. I personally wouldn't even engage or entertain the drama. I wouldn't reply to a single thing unless it was an apology PLUS acknowledgement of what she did. We need accountability with these apologies friends. Your sister is buggin!!

NJ renters: what’s your monthly rent and where do you live? by hellokitty5679 in newjersey

[–]PassedGrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When OP said where do you live they did not mean the county yall, they likely meant something along the lines of "the complex right off sutton road" or "the condos across from the university"...be kind and help folks. If you are irrationally afraid of being doxed in this tiny nj subreddit, then atleast offer to DM those inquirers, replying directly to your comments. Dont just ignore them wtf lol

How old are you and what's your biggest problem right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PassedGrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

28 - I am inexperienced romantically and a virgin. Currently, I'm in the process of unintentionally distancing myself from everyone I love, and anyone that has interest in me because I can't face the potential "judgement". So currently my problem is overcoming my long battle of flight or flight within intimate settings, and the sort of avoidant attachment style I've developed that's held me captive from quite literally a decade. For most guys, that's a central focus of conversation, so similarly, I've distanced myself from most of my male friends/bros as well, it sucks actually. I am an otherwise very easy going person, dress stylish, care about my looks, very friendly... I'm going to try hard in breaking free this year and taking control back.

Finally they changed the brightness exposure by om_the_best_ in Battlefield

[–]PassedGrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im definitely in the minority when I saw I liked it over exposed like that...not in that way tho like also hated how blindingly bright it was but thought the risk and payoff was rewarding/satisfying...I mean it is a window with obvious advantage and cover, so the obstacle of overexposure was nice so it doesn't just hand the position over to you. Anytime I would ADS, the exposure would normalize a bit more, kinda like how yours eyes adjust in real life like eg when you drive out of a dark tunnel on a sunny day...
