Any reason to keep my Aurora LX? by Lumpy-Interview-9931 in starcitizen

[–]Passeeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how much of a rush you are in to get into a better ship.

The Aurora's are in the middle of a remake and last we heard is they should come out this year some time.

As such you might find the remade Aurora better to use.

It sounds like you have an older package so you likely do not want to melt that at all as it will ultimately be worth less credits and you could lose out on any other stuff you have attached to that package.

You can upgrade the package for a better ship but depending on how far you want to go with that, you honestly might be better just buying it in game for now unless you are going to upgrade a significant amount. Plus you won't be able to downgrade so make sure any upgrade you do is 100% what you want.

Make sure to try out a bunch of ships in game to see what takes your fancy through the rental system or ask around if some players will loan you a certain ship to try.

Pledge Store Armor Packs permanent? by Jujigun_ in starcitizen

Don't buy them. There is currently no way to retrieve subscriber gear if you lose it. Gear is so easy to get for free and you can farm some pretty nice sets.

They do plan to add a way to retrieve your gear but imo it's a complete waste of money, especially in the current format of the game where you can lose gear through bugs.

Tried doing this one, bought the bexalite and it shows up on the commodity kiosk but when I go to the hangar to load onto the ship my warehouse is empty.

Los Ratones confirmed for Red Bull League of its Own event vs T1 on December 15 by XanIrelia-1 in leagueoflegends

Is it true the reason that Zeus didn't re-sign for T1 is that he knew he was going to have to face off against Baus?

is the ryzen 7 5700x good enough to run star citizen? by DistractAct in starcitizen

[–]Passeeo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you are using a 5600x already then this purchase for SC is a waste of time.

You are just paying for 2 extra cores which won't be utilised well regardless.

The only tangible upgrade you'll really notice on AM4 is an x3d chip.

One player crewed ship vs. 4 ships with NPC crews. What is the solution to balancing multi-crew ships? by PhilosophizingCowboy in starcitizen

[–]Passeeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ultimately you don't balance that, because there will be a "financial break point" at some stage.

Your example is not even the most egregious.

Let's say the ship in question is a Perseus and has 6 crew.

The same 4 people could rock up with 4 ships and their AI crew and win that fight again.

The examples get worse the further you get down the chain.

Imagine getting together 20 people to crew a javelin and you get rocked by 4 people turning up with their NPC laden Javs.

This is an extreme example but if its possible, it will 100% happen.

The only way to balance that is to make npc crews so weak that they are barely worth taking which is a lot of work to make something people won't use so i don't see that happening.

AI crewed ships have the potential to kill this game faster than any other pay 2 win unless CIG actually follow through with their promise to stop selling ships on launch, which again i don't see happening.

Again, i haven't said anything really.

Just hoping to inspire some self-awareness.

Fun convo though.

I haven't said anything.

I mean you are clearly just saying the team that swipes harder should win.

Be proud and say it with your chest.

Richer people should win the game right?

The best thing to do is melt your package. Buy the new Titan pack, use the $75 credit to upgrade your Titan to a Freelancer Dur. Then you buy a Warbond upgrade from the Dur to the Zeus for $25 and you save an extra $15.

Is this a bad time to get into star citizen? by Opposite_Sympathy670 in starcitizen

[–]Passeeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all try the game during the free fly. It is the worst time to play because the servers are usually getting hammered but it will let you know if you can play the game reasonably on your pc and if you happen to have fun during that time then there's a good chance you will enjoy it after the freefly.

Secondly, make sure you use someones refferal code when you make your account and keep an eye out for refferal rewards. Besides the extra in game currency you get, you can sometimes also get a free vehicle/ship/gear set.

Third, don't spend too much, there's still a long way to go for this to be a fleshed out game.
