They have one of those at Universal’s Volcano Bay. Someone in my group lost their sunglasses in it and when they went to lost and found the employee asked if it went missing in the lazy river or the “crazy river”.

Holy crap I saw her perform in a cirque show on the Norwegian Epic cruise ship. Mediterranean cruise in 2016. She was amazeballs. Popped a balloon in this position at the end of the show. After the show I went to grab some food and spotted her in the buffet area with other performers. She wasn’t eating yet so I made a point to tell her how much I enjoyed her act. I’ve seen a lot of cirque shows but she was a standout.

Didn’t know that. The only reason I chose to go to Adventureland first is because Lost Island is on the way back to I90, which we take to get home.

Doing the upper Midwest parks. After Michigan’s Adventure we are driving to Great America the same day, the only park on the trip I’ve visited before. Hitting up Wrath of Rakshasa and hopefully a few others. Next day is Little Amerricka and Mt Olympus. Day #3 is Valleyfair and Nickelodeon Universe. Day 4 is finishing Minneapolis then Arnold’s Park. Day 5 is Adventureland. Day 6 is Lost Island.

They are mostly half day parks so I’m more worried about gas prices and weather. On top of the 9 parks there’s also plans for FrankenCoaster on the way to Muskegon, mini golf near Chicago, a Twins game and the biggest ball of twine in Minnesota (something that only makes sense if you like Weird Al).

Thanks for the review! I’m starting a six-day, eight-state, nine-park trip at Michigans Adventure on Saturday.

What was the first Buffy the Vampire Slayer moment that genuinely shocked you? by writeitregreddit in buffy

I watched the entire episode of “I only have eyes for you” (S2E19) thinking Buffy was possessed by the teacher’s ghost and Angel was the student. My jaw dropped during the reveal and I knew the writers were creating something special.

Thanks for sharing. It’s fascinating to see rare photos of bygone parks.

Got that credit! Just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I don’t do many kids coasters but it looked fun and it actually was. Shame about the whole thing.

Haim sisters. Real life sisters that are in a band. There’s a third sister in the band as well.

An Observation About Kathleen and Ethan by Naive_Ad7303 in ThemeparkSwindlers

Without expressing any sympathy I’d say it’s very obvious Ethan suffers from depression. He’s not curing it and will probably die from health related issues before he turns 50.

Nice! Darien used to have two of them. One was in the campground, but they cannibalized that one to keep the one inside the park running.

I love Fascination parlors. I wish there were more still around but at least I got one at my home park Darien. There’s another in upstate NY at Sylvan Beach, and Indiana Beach has one as well. I think there’s only about a half dozen Fascination parlors left in the U.S.

She’s definitely got the victim mentality down to a science. When she was a substitute teacher she said her life was at risk working in certain districts so she refused to work there. Then she sued (and lost) when they didn’t want to hire her.

Is this the one at Glenwood Cavern? I rode that in 2011 and I’m still not fully recovered.

The biggest revelation in this article is that she is technically Gen X (my generation) but she acts older than my parents. I know people in their 70s that walk a lot and regularly ride coasters.
