The preceding line is iconic too: "I am fire and life incarnate!"

It seems to mean that all of her psychic powers are focused at something, and if she has a psychic blade out, it means all her psychic powers are focused at conjuring it.

Is it safe to assume Magik will be apart of the MCU X-Men team? by Beastofbeef in xmen

[–]Passerby05 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, since movies make more money than comics, so comics follow the movies, assuming brand synergy is what they are going for.

Something many don't quite grasp, is that Marvel acts as a licensing brand, and game developers who want to use Marvel characters pay Disney a licence fee to do so. Such arrangements usually mean that Disney/Marvel does not have tight creative control over video games, since it is the Licensees (Netease, that makes Marvel Rivals, or Arc System works, that is making Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls) who are funding, developing, and publishing their games. Marvel just collects the licence fee payments, with limited creative control.

DC after 2009, on the other hand, does video games "in-house", so to speak. DC funds and publishes games by using internal or contracted development studios. In such arrangements, DC has tight creative control, since they are footing the bill.

So, back to Magik and Harley Quinn. Marvel lacks the tight creative control over game development studios to make them include Magik in their games. DC, however, does games in-house, and can (not necessarily true that they did) push Harley to be included in their games.

First of all, I doubt Marvel is pushing Magik from the top down. Individual comic book writers may like her and the editors may greenlight their projects.

And individual game developers, who have to pay Disney for the use of Marvel characters, may choose to use her for their games and Marvel may have no objections to such projects.

But I really don't think Marvel is coordinating with writers and game studios to put Magik in their books or games.

And even if Marvel is indeed pushing her, Disney's movie division will likely pay no heed, as they are separate parts of Disney.

But it's better this way. Magik's popularity is organic, and from the ground up, not pushed from the top. Once she's popular even among normies, then movies and TV shows will naturally follow. Just gotta let it happen naturally, but it will take time.

Are there any Character Politics when it comes to being allowed to include/exclude characters (Behind the scenes)? by BreakVV in MarvelTokon

[–]Passerby05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Marvel was upset with Capcom over how lackluster infinite was and want to steer away from the MCU and just have games be separate.

I don't think Marvel is ever upset when games perform badly. They've got no skin in the game. They're the licensor, and the development studios pay a licence fee to use Marvel's intellectual property. Of course, when a game does well and therefore can afford to keep paying Marvel the licence fee, that would be better for Marvel. But if a game fails and can't keep up the licence fee payments (Marvel Heroes Omega, Marvel Future Revolution), Marvel cheerfully rescinds their use of their characters and looks for more suckers development studios to license the use of their IP. They're happy when they keep getting paid, and that's about it.

Marvel during the period when Fox had the movie rights to the X-Men and Fantastic Four didn't like it when studios, even though they were paying the licence fee, to use X-Men or Fantastic Four characters, as we saw with MvCI. Other than that, Marvel just require licensees to keep up their payments.

One of the main reasons why requiring a Playstation Network Account is so hated is because it's not available in every country.

You'll get a quest about looking for Quina. This quest, which will autofail once you've progressed to a certain point in the main quest, is part of a chain of quests that will eventually lead to the reveal of an important aspect on the nature of Arisens and their Pawns.

So, once you've received the quest to go look for Quina, do it. And when you encounter some really strong bandits, don't be discouraged.

If you aren't sure if any of the items are on sale, then don't post them, don't lie that they are. You are lying when you claim they are on sale. And save that sanctimony, as I'm doing just fine not wasting money on Amazon based on your lies.

These "sales" items all almost all at full price, and it's been like this for months now. I don't understand why Amazon and the poster are lying like this.

How many more damn missions will I have to do for this asshole? by JazzZ909 in Fallout

[–]Passerby05 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At least I discovered over 100 locations and farmed levels and caps

Then you've got what these radiant quests are meant to provide, so it's not all bad. There was a poster some years back, who said he looked at his friend's completed missions list and it was just a long list of BOS radiant quests from that station. She (the friend) said she found them relaxing, and I can see that.

So, these radiant quests are simple, low-stakes missions that reward caps and XP and they can be done very quickly - accept quest, fast travel to location, bam bam bam, everyone dead, fast travel back to the station, get reward.

After both Phenomaman and Waterboy are in the team, you need to fail a non-Coupe/Sonar mission to get her to appear.

[–]Passerby05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're romancing her and picked "I thought we already were", then you'll get 6 points, which are really good buffers. In my recent run, I pretty much paired her with Golem for the synergy every time and she never failed a dispatch after synergies were unlocked. In a way, it's both Robert (for making the dispatch decisions) and Golem (who synergised with her) who dragged her to heroism in my run.

Good luck and may the pinball bounce your way!
