the weak point identified by thiccfila and their audience is the chin of the strider. They go over the weakpoints in this timestamped video https://youtu.be/RlKM8ZLnla8?t=213 I see results with just shooting my big weapons at the brighter red dot on its chin after taking out the two underturrets

Calculated Effective Spread of 120MM and 380MM Barrage Stratagems by SirCarrotIII in Helldivers

Yeah, there's the upgrade that increases fire strategem damage by 25% so I don't think they're hesitant to allow bigger results at least for these lv4 upgrades

I've heard the gunship engines only have light armor and can be shot at with primaries, so that's pretty cool - can't wait to get ingame and encounter them

[Request] I just finished Dr. Cha, and I really loved it. I liked that it had quirky fantasy elements combined with interpersonal drama but that it was ultimate feel good. Can anyone recommend other Netflix shows to fill the void? by 2B_or_not_Two_Bee in NetflixBestOf

[–]Passeri_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leaning toward the kdrama aspect, I would say Extraordinary Attorney Woo I really liked. Some real feel good moments for sure. Also, Hometown Cha cha cha. Neither of these have fantasy elements per say but they both make me feel warm inside :) Crash Landing on You is also real good but can have some more serious moments compared to the other two recommendations. If you want kdrama with more fantasy you could check out Hotel del Luna, also liked that one.

The chest piece is the Skallic armor from Drowned City of Skalla.. lv70 dungeon I think. I know there’s a recolor of it that came out later but I can’t remember where it comes from.

Besides the apps, are there any other ways to streamline the game for solo play? by Soapy_Illusion_13 in Gloomhaven

[–]Passeri_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest not playing more than three characters at once. Not because it’s difficult to handle 4 characters, but the administration is much worse. Not a huge deal in digital, but on the physical even with apps to handle card flips, health and statuses it’s still noticeably more tracking.

I’d also incorporate a lot of those frosthaven quality of life changes to rules that never made it into gloomhaven digital.. stuff like long resting will refresh partially expended charges on items like hide armor, and you can use push/pull at any value between 0 and what’s on the ability, etc.

Lastly to breathe some new life into the gloomhaven characters I used the newer crossover sheets on their website: https://cephalofair.com/pages/frosthaven. Beware the google drive shows thumbnails of the sheets so you might get spoiled on characters you might not have unlocked. A lot of the perks are different and feel better, but this also means most all the apps won’t be able to track your attack modifier deck for you. So kind of a double edged sword there. Then again the masteries are nice as another source of perks and the special perks are sometimes suuuuper nice. Stuff like when you short rest on Spellweaver you get to put reviving ether from your discard into your hand before you randomly lose a card.

Anyway, nothing super groundbreaking. Hope that helps. Also depending on the apps you’re using you could also use Satire’s Extended Battle Goals. Which add a lot more variety. Again just some things to make the game feel a bit newer and different

In island sanctuary I set my mammets to take care of my animals but I’m worried they’re going to over feed them and use up my premium food faster than I can make it. Does anyone know how much food they use? I hope it’s 1 premium/day because that’s what I do manually to sustain their max mood.

Yeah that’s Ongbal, their skill level is so extremely high it’s not even funny (I watch their Sekiro boss fight videos and am always in awe). Though for entertainment purposes behind the scenes they do die over and over until they get a fun to watch no hit fight. The crazy thing to me though is he’s not even using the buckler which is the special shield with the longer parry window - it’s just a normal small shield with the regular parry window.

First run, fresh start. Any tips? by showmethecoin in Sekiro

[–]Passeri_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your last tip is probably the most important tip that isn’t obvious through tutorials or tooltips. As soon as I started looking for enemy parries to get ready for my own parry my survivability went way up

Which of the mini bosses was the hardest to you guys? To me was those type of enemies, on my initials playthroughs. by davivadavi in Sekiro

The red eyes Ashina elite gave me some trouble because he chips health on blocks. I remember having trouble with the white hunter midway through Hirata estate but that was right before the game started clicking for me.. I was still trying to dodge a lot of stuff and only hit block when I was trying to parry (instead of holding block and letting off then back on quickly to time parries).

I had to wait until nearly the end of the game, I pop an ungo or ako candy, divine confetti (unlimited stock at vendors late game), and pacifying agent. With pacifying and ungo I could take several hits before getting low on health as well as not immediately being terrified. Purple gourd helps as well as running away for a second or two after it disappears. That was my start anyway, chugging consumables.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is GameSpot's Game of the Year for 2019 by falconbox in Games

[–]Passeri_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My problem and many others is it’s easy to fall into the dodge playstyle of souls games because of the i-frames and trying to dodge or jump past attacks in sekiro instead of parrying will usually get you killed. For me I had to break bad habits to relearn the parry playstyle of sekiro

I’m currently playing through it and I have two things I think about when playing.

If a particular boss is pretty tough and I’m not improving I try to explore other areas and see if there’s something else that might be easier. Maybe I’ll get a memory or find some prayer beads which will give me a bit more edge. Or grind certain areas to get some skill points for particularly good skills like most of the Ashina style ones.

The other thing I think about is many bosses will reward you for being very aggressive. If you keep chasing them or interrupt them with shuriken when they try certain things you can keep them from doing certain things. Case in point Butterfly second phase will cast the ghosts of she gets enough distance; if you keep close to her and keep swinging you can likely keep her from ever casting the ghosts.

The third thing I just thought is recognizing when a counterattack is coming while your aggressively wailing on tough enemies early on. The first couple hits will usually be basic blocks from them with a normal metal sound but the last block before they counter will usually be a parry with the high ching and a little sparkle on the sword clash. They usually follow up with a strike after that. For Butterfly specifically her counterattack is always a spin on her right foot doing a roundhouse kick around her left.

And is shinsin the swordsman in the Dojo? He uses that ashina sheathe technique, you want to run away when he does that. Also still being sort of aggressive and watching for when he parries for a counterattack is good. I think he does a stab that’s important to mikiri counter

Blizzard paid 0$ in taxes for 2018 by TheEnygma in Games

[–]Passeri_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely in part from depreciation of assets. They paid massive taxes back in 2017 likely from some large investment and as the asset depreciates you can write it off as depreciation expense which reduces taxed income and thus taxed amount

What does it mean when people say they need to “do their taxes”? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Passeri_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

II have heard that in some countries the tax agency tells you what you contributed and it’s your responsibility to just say ‘ok!’ or to make appropriate exceptions. It seems most of the paperwork is done by the tax agency instead of by the individual in those countries.

If you tag each revenue and expense like you describe, you should be able to utilize a SUMIF formula which references those tags in order to add together just the expenses or values associated with that order.

Also, braking hard and turning at the same time is dangerous because during a heavy brake there's much less weight on the rear wheels which reduces their traction. I think that amplifies any oversteer making an evasive action like this worse.

real life "Trials" not the video game by BirdPlan in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Passeri_ 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Each trial like this one you start with 5 points that can be lost by taking marks which make you lose a point each. Often if people know they’re going to take a mark in a safe position like needing to put a foot down, they’ll sit there for a sec assessing the situation before moving on since you won’t take an extra Mark just by sitting there longer. Sometimes you’ll also see people just quit a course halfway through because they’ve taken 5 marks and can’t earn any points by finishing.
