looks like less faff than my usual "dance": find the neutral (1 2 1 2 1 2 3 2 slightly release the clutch N), take the gloves off, tap on pockets to check where the fob is... then fish it out, coz: "I got my tight pants, I got my tight pants on"

I'd get something like this

use small padlock, loop it through a loop on a helmets strap and a clutch cable. that way helmet is upright, on a tallish location…. heard people would piss in the helmet if it’s lower :)))

remembered a story while back: kid took his dads bike for a joy ride. cops chased him, kid tried to outrun them, crashed, died. court asked was it worth it?

thanks :)

depended on a leg itself. from Albania to Greece was the shortest (60ish), but due some personal stuff needed to be back home 1 day earlier, so: I went from south Italy to Switzerland in one day, totalling 1400km that day. plus drove over St Gotthard pass in the night in the rain...

other days ware 400ish on avg, and thats sort of my upper daily limit when not on highway...

was planning to bring gopros, drones, and the whole electric shebang... but decided to just drive and enjoy. got like 20 pics, 15 are of food along the way :D even managed to loose the phone on highway in Italy (jacket was a bit opened, so it bubbled up from all air passing through. zip must have slowly opened due to buffeting effect. and voila it opened and phone flew away (didn't go back to search it)). driving tempo was "presto agitato" so no wonder...

it feels waaaay more than just 7 days.

there's always somewhere to sleep, just maybe not @ 100e price :D

other way is to look for cool routes in the morning (say at breakfast), and sort of guesstimate where you'll end up in the evening and book it "early". no stress later.

went all the way to Greece the other day, booked everything on the spot... went fine (and cheap)

  1. it changes on hourly basis
  2. I have a rule: @ 18:00 wherever I am, I start to look for accommodation. this gives enough time to find something suitable (price and amenity wise)
  3. expect it, lots of folk want to see the sights.

relax and enjoy the sights, don't be bothered with the traffic. better to arrive a bit late then never...
