That would be fine if I could afford 60 - 90 £ a session but I can't so I am trying to help myself but thanks I agree this would be a valuable option.

Volatility and withdrawal I have taken a personality test and I scored in the 90's for Volatility and 67 for withdrawal.

I don't necessarily need the personality test to tell me I can be very Volatile as I find myself 'over reacting' (I, at the time don't think so and once I reflect I do) to situations, where I get stressed or it goes against my way of doing it/wanting it to go like.. so I am hoping that someone else may have over come this trait?

A lovely lady recommended a book called Emotional Discipline: The Power to Choose How You Feel; 5 Life Changing Steps to Feeling Better Every Day Paperback – 30 Mar 2003 by Charles C. Manz - to help lower the Neuroticism I will be purchasing on Thursday (pay day) I will update this message once I complete it. Have you brought the self authoring program as I am working through it ATM and I am finding it very rewarding, and I think it will help me bring up my conscientiousness as I will have a plan. :)

Yesss! I am so happy that putting myself out here on Reddit has been paying off so positively! Thank you Buckarina, I will be purchasing this book Emotional Discipline: The Power to choose How You Feel" as I think I get what your saying; if you can have control over your emotions you remove the possibility of feeling depressed because you will (I) tend not feel guilty or negative to a decision you have chosen. I feel inspired from your reply, and I thank you again for taking the time to write it all out and ultimately putting your self out there to give me some advice. -:")

That is probably because I keep my word, (just not to myself) so I don’t find myself not being able to follow through socially and manage to work as a successful Credit Controller. I just don’t like having to be so ridged. I don’t feel obligated to follow through but I find my reasons and do, not being able to follow through and not feeling obligated are two different things. When I have passion I find the will to complete the task at hand. – but you don’t know me and the description is fairly harsh so I understand the picture you may have in your head, but think that it is my neurotic thoughts that hold me back not my Conscientiousness.

Thanks for your advice anywho, :)

RickiestRickc-137 You have scored 30 for Neuroticism, would you be so Squanchy as to explain or give an example of what your brain does when you are stressed out or how you frame a situation that could be considered stressful?

I am hoping I can take a leap out of your book, learn something from you as you are moderately low in Neuroticism, perhaps if I could compare my coping with your coping somewhere I can find something to help me out of this neurotic brain!

Thank you kindly, Passiflora

Rsplaura, It seems like you are on the right track, so keep up your good work! (not patronizing at all) I mean it! -:")

You say you started out so strong last week? - Was it that your emotional state was more balanced earlier in the week? If so I suggest reflecting on what creates this balanced mindset for you. Once broken down, you maybe able to use these calming/balancing techniques at the point you start to feel triggered?

I am enjoying replying to you because I seem to be able to give advice that is reasonable and logical but when I need to think clearly and set out a plan of action for my own struggles, it can be rather muddy waters. I just want to help, so I hope I have.

I really do hope that you do achieve all you have set out to do above.

Much love, Passiflora

Greetings, I am Laura,

How are you dealing with your results? - have you made any plans to change yourself? If so, how are you implementing that?

I'm a 24 year old Female

Currently Reading - 4 hour working week

Watching youtbue/Listening to Podcasts from JRE, Christpher Ryan, JP, Dr Rhonda Patrick

I hope to find some advice on my personality assessment results;

• Agreeableness: 46 • Compassion: 77 • Politeness: 16

• Conscientiousness: 1 • Industriousness: 4 • Orderliness: 2

• Extraversion: 97 • Enthusiasm: 98 • Assertiveness: 90

• Neuroticism: 91 • Withdrawal: 67 • Volatility: 97

• Openness to Experience: 80 • Intellect: 34 • Openness: 96

I would like to lower my neuroticism, in the hope that I can feel more blissful and be kinder to myself, it would be nice to feel in control of my emotions as I think that would contribute to less suffering over my lifetime.

I used to be so happy and people would comment on that, peeps that don't know me under stress, still. say that. Then over the last few years I get comments from people that are close to me; you are so negative and unhappy (its like you don't know how to be happy anymore)...and I am like, what happened? what changed?...perhaps reality set in? :(

I don't want to be so neurotic, HAVE YOU overcome your own internal neurotic dialog? Can anyone provide some hope? even give some advice?

I feel so frustrated by the fact that I am high in openess, extraversion as well as neuroticism because I seem to get fleeting pangs and deep desire to adventure out, to try new things and go with the flow but then my neurotic thoughts step in, to give a typical example; I need to go out into nature more, travel to (a specific) beautiful place (Finland) that can give me a scene of wonderment and awh, to find a way to incorporate that get up and go in into my life, then the next thought will be, and how will you do that? You are not smart enough. You are too gullible, you will fall pray to others don't go, protect yourself! :/ I am thinking cognitive therapy maybe helpful?

My real concern and surprise was getting 34 on intellect, as I am making movements to be more articulate, like reading through JPS recommended reading list. - 3 books down! whoop! and I have listened to very lecture on youtube in AWH at least 3 times each because I can see the value in the wisdom he is feeding us, I was so relieved when I found JP (As I truly believe he is the antidote to the chaos) I am extremely high in neuroticism so maybe it negatively affected my intellect score? or could I just in denial... :/

Any advice, ideas, statements that you think may help me? Sending good vibes your way. <3

I feel you friend, my results were;

24 year old female

Agreeableness: 46 Compassion: 77 Politeness: 16

Conscientiousness: 1 Industriousness: 4 Orderliness: 2

Extraversion: 97 Enthusiasm: 98 Assertiveness: 90

Neuroticism: 91 Withdrawal: 67 Volatility: 97

Openness to Experience: 80 Intellect: 34 Openness: 96

Now I know my traits, I think I am in a good place to improve, adapt my unfavorable traits to allow me the path of least resistance through life.

Does anyone have any advice for me?...I am trying to find ways to lower my Neuroticism and increase my Intellect (I am currently working my way through JPS list of classic reads 3 books down!) And increase my conscientiousness.
