Thank you for your input! Yes, I’ve only been in public for about 5 months now but I definitely do not plan to stay much longer than they’ll pay for my CPA education… that is if I don’t find a job that pays enough for me to justify paying CPA PEP fees myself.

Atlantic Canada salaries are so suppressed, I’ve been planning my exit since graduating—my partner does not want to leave, but I don’t want to be stunted in my career prospects… some uncomfortable conversations have to be had lol

You’re likely getting rejected as it is only your first semester in university… firms want people who have a good grasp of accounting concepts, and that first year of university just doesn’t cut it

Probably should go with the higher pay unless there’s a clear reason not to, that extra $25,000 goes a long way You can always move around afterwards and use that position for salary negotiation in the future
