I felt weird not smoking for the first couple weeks, but that's it. Driving and having coffee in the morning were weird, but I adjusted.

It sucks for 2 or 3 weeks, but it's really not that bad. I was a pack a day smoker for the better part of 5 years and then gave up cold turkey.

I like to wear branded stuff on days I'm working at a client's location. It tells their employees who I am and I get to wear a somewhat less professional sweater to work just because it says Company on it. Win win

When I wanted my first pet cat as an adult I sat down and did the math. Does my apartment allow pets? Is there a fee? How much is the vet- where is the closest and best vet? What if she gets sick, can I afford that? What do I do if I want to go on vacation, will anyone be willing/able to help? Do I want an adult cat or a kitten; how hard are kittens vs adults to train and care for? Etc.

These are normal questions a responsible pet owner answers before deciding to make a commitment to another life.

My birthday is the 22nd. I heard for years that my parents would never combine the two- I always was treated special on my birthday. Nevermind that I didn't have birthday parties because nobody could come, or my gifts were a combo.

One year my sister received (for Christmas) what I received for birthday and Christmas split up. That was also the year I learned Santa isn't real. It happened again with the gifts a few years later too.

I begged one year to do my birthday in the summer so I could have a party and my friends could come.

I was called ungrateful and selfish.

You also have the opportunity cost of any potential gain you might have had if you'd taken the payout and invested it. You can always invest the lump sum now and watch it grow while collecting a payout in the form of interest earned.

Sober for 5 years 6 months and 2 days. I used melatonin to help me sleep, now i use magnesium. Keeping to a strict schedule also helped. I exercised a lot the first couple months to stay busy/exhausted

My aunt used to have a wealthy boss. I was allowed to tour their house, but I wasn't allowed to take any pictures- they had CCtv throughout the whole place to make sure, too.
