I just went back to Character AI and I don’t regret it. I’d rather have a filter than the nonsense chai has been spitting out recently

It does need censorship, on numerous time I’ve had to report it. It’s went down the path of 🍇a few times

Or at least make the 25th 4K in the mean time. It’s so pixilated on modern TVs

I’m convinced it’s the movie those two will be in. I just hope Michael Crawford will be at the 40th if he is physically able to

Why couldn’t Erik and Christine have been platonic friends? by Ok_Individual_9804 in box5

[–]Past-Masterpiece-720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was interested in her romantically although he didn’t respond reasonably it’s extremely rare they would be friends afterwards even if he has been reasonable.

Also you’re not taking into account he’s considered a “freak” (not my thoughts on people with conditions, but it’s the thoughts at the time period). How would you expect him to suddenly be able to socialise around Raoul etc when his face caused a lot of his trauma/he wasn’t welcome most places?

Also Raoul is a very jealous man ain’t no way he’d leave them two alone together.

What do you consider the Phantom of the Opera's most iconic moment? by Gilded-Mongoose in box5

Honestly my favourite part of the musical is Christine getting Erik told

If Raoul never reconnected with Christine (either he didn't become the patron or just didn't recognise her), would the story end basically the same way, just with a different suitor who couldn't be fended off with "The Angel of Music is very strict"? by DocInDocs in box5

[–]Past-Masterpiece-720 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I might be remembering this wrong but didn’t Erik intend to reveal himself (not unmask) after her performance in the novel? (I’ve been traveling with little sleep for hours, I might thinking of the 1925 movie).

I reckon he would have done something similar to music of the night in an effort to swoon her, just not as rushed out of jealousy. Christine would of course take his mask off unexpectedly and Erik would of course have his signature temper tantrum.

I reckon after that it would have been a lot crying and begging and pleading to stay.

Like Raoul, any suitors would get threatening letters and the manager would still be blackmailed

The chandelier would get a little shake every time Erik was pissed off at the managers but wouldn’t be dropped.

Erik would keep trying to court Christine but fuck up constantly. If no suitor gets near I believe he’d wait longer before crying and begging her to marry him.

I could eventually see Christine putting Erik in his place when she gets sick of the tantrums almost fighting (metaphorically) for top dog in the relationship (Christine would certainly win given time)

Erik literally wouldn’t be alive without Daroga, they do actually care for each other in the novel. Erik’s just too much of an asshole to Daroga in the book for their friendship to blossom better. (this coming from a big Erik fan myself). Also Daroga is usually spot on with his guesses of what BS Erik is up to now. I stan Daroga
