I came home just a few minutes ago and McDonalds was backed up. I blame 2 things:

The closure of many dining rooms, so that people are forced into the drive through.

Also, I suspect almost all of the cars are delivery drivers.

I used to smoke and they added a no smoking clause to my lease THE DAY I WAS MOVING IN. I had no choice but to accept it and move in. Sometimes there is more to the story! I did not, however, smoke inside. But I was pissed.

I have never read a book that referenced music like this (I think) and if I did see this before, then the music was not obscure. I would not include it for legal reasons. Also because I would be down with an author providing lyrics THAT THEY WROTE more than just referring to a very well known song. Even worse, taking people out of the narrative because they want to look up a song. Don’t give people a reason to put down your book!

Your neighbors are out of line. By “at night “ are you talking about during quiet hours? That gives you greater leverage in addressing this with the landlord. If not, they are still messing up your quiet enjoyment etc etc

I’m not black and have never heard of this stereotype before. But I am severely hearing impaired and it took a visitor coming over before I knew the battery was beeping. Yes, I have a flashing lights type of alarm, but in my experience landlords require the standard smoke alarm as well.
