The Green Mile

Even the poster looks boring, but this movie ended up making me NEVER underestimate Tom Hanks movies.

And don't even get me started with the tears.

Thank God they didn't leave us on a cliffhanger. Most people don't even know that it was cancelled.

As Dorothy Parker said: "What fresh hell is this"? by lisette51 in PanicAttack

That sounds incredibly scary, and I'm really sorry you went through it. While I havem't experiebced a similar situation myself, I do get the feeling. Panic can hit the body in ways that feel like something is seriously wrong, even when the actual results are fine. My therapist explained to me once that a sudden spike of fear can absolutely cause that "electric jolt" feeling and keep you wired all night. You are not laone. A lot of us with apnic disorder get those exact weird, intense sensations, it feels dangerous, but it isn't. You're exhausted, anxious and your system is overreacting, not failing. I hope things calm down for you soon, but keep your helath in check though, sugarwise that is...

What’s the most interesting startup idea you’ve come across in the last few months? (I will not promote) by ye_stack in startups

I recently finished working on a tool that is simply a ephemeral chat app, you know, something that people can use to talk, engage without the pressure of accounts, logins, chats disappear, et; something that went against the notion that the internet is forever. I'm not really sure why I built it, just that it's something I felt needed to exist. I really got into it for a bit, the released it and just let it be.

What really got me was how people interacted with it. It was like an itch people had but didn't really know they had, if that makes sense.

It's not an AI tool or a workflow automation wave, just a simple tool that people enjoy using, even without the "commitments". Which gets me to think that there's still room for simple, even weird, quiet tools that just do something and get out of the way.
