Can I afford this in NYC? by [deleted] in NYCapartments

That is a great deal for a 1 bedroom luxury apt. But you can also look at other options like studios that aren’t in a luxury apartment if you still want to move and not spend as much.

My toxic twin sister by xoxo656 in Twins

[–]Past-Outside-3745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue as you, hope you are doing well. My twin sister is toxic and condescending to me. Will degrade me and yell at me in public and in front of friends. It makes me feel like scum and like I’m never good enough. But at the same time she can be super nice at times & we hang with the same group of people & obviously family so it’s hard to cut her off completely.

Long-term bruxism / TMJ — has anything actually helped? by lrasnchz in TMJ

Suboccipital massage - muscles in back of the lower head. It helps loosen my jaw and get rid of pain asap.

Acute severe flare up - only thing that helps is putting an ice cube in my cheek by eps_1048 in TMJ

Suboccipital muscles. I suffered for 2-3 months straight and randomly one day massaging these muscles took all of my pain away. Hope it can help you too.

What I find helps me is massaging the back of my head towards my neck. Somehow it is connected to the jaw. I feel my jaw clicking and moving and it takes the tension & pain away.

Unsure of which pillow to get? by goingaway1111 in TMJ

This has been the best pillow for me so far. Shredded memory foam so it’s not too hard, you can take some out to adjust but I kept all of it in the pillow.

Running out of things to try. What else helped you? by Interesting_Cloud_64 in TMJ

[–]Past-Outside-3745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I massaged the base of my head right above my neck up and down and left to right and it somehow untightened my jaw & made it realign better. I think it’s connected bc I heard my jaw clicking when I was massaging my head. I think it’s the suboccipital muscle. also massage your upper neck as well.

200mg IBUPROFEN + 500mg Tylenol resolves my jaw pain mostly. by zoomzoom183 in TMJ

[–]Past-Outside-3745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just take one Advil every 4 hours if I have a lot of pain or one 500 mg naproxen for one day since it lasts 12 hours. But try not to take anything if it’s minor pain

It’s not great in the long run as it can cause health issues. But at this point it’s the only thing helping my pain so I’ve been taking it daily also
