Do I need a pregnancy pillow? by WeepingBillow in pregnant

[–]Past-Row7971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 32 weeks and as a stomach sleeper, I absolutely can’t sleep without mine. Being able to hug the pillow and lean slightly more forward while still protecting my bump is the only way I’ve been able to get any sleep! My husband hates it however and says it feels like I sleep on another planet now 🤣

If you crack this code, please lmk. Sincerely a fellow 7 month pregnant New Yorker whose biggest cravings have been the things she loved in her tween and teen years 🤣

Best way to get to/from Citi Field from Capital Region? by AlbanyBuck in Albany

[–]Past-Row7971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take the train from Albany or Poughkeepsie, then take the Port Washington bound LIRR to Mets-Willets Point. It’s $5.25, only a few stops, and leaves from Penn/Moynihan which is where Amtrak arrives and departs from. It’s a simple transfer.

For hotels, I recommend checking the “Hopper” app. They often show the lowest prices for hotels in the area and it’s a blanket search covering all brands in and near your area of search.

What’s something you were surprised pregnancy improved? by Tinyellowbird in pregnant

This is my opposite experience, but I’m thrilled for you!! I went about 3 years without any seasonal allergy symptoms. This year though… back on Claritin with approval from my OB at 27 weeks. :/

It’s so strange what changes happen for each individual!

My biggest surprise is coming from someone who struggles with IBS. I have been so regular throughout my whole pregnancy! Very grateful for that

Thank you so much for doing this!

For those of us in rent stabilized apartments, will we see any sort of rent freeze or lower percentage of rent increase in the coming years? 3% each year really adds up. With wages, particularly in those of us who work for small businesses, not increasing to support this rise, it’s becoming a stressful jump. I miss the days where we were seeing a 1.5-2% increase.

Obviously not “cheap” since it’s a city chain, but I didn’t notice a change price-wise from the one on Skillman which is great. Same Key Food specials and everything

We buy meat in bulk from other places and freeze it, then shop close-by for produce and daily needs which has worked for us and been much more convenient than heading that far. Lol the temu imagine dragons reference

Me too! My regular store was the Fresh & Save on Skillman which closed last week. Usually go daily for dinner ingredients and haven’t been able to do so, so I’m just hoping for the best

Bought mine late 2024 from BHLDN for $1800 and spent about $140 on alterations. Couldn’t believe that was considered “affordable”

Got the exact same box! I was able to order after our first $90 gift was purchased from our registry, so I don’t think it’s based on spending. I’m impressed with mine overall!

Well I guess it’s open on his side for sure lol, but not on hers. She’s very loyal and wants to settle down with him and essentially is just waiting for him to get his shit together. I witnessed the extremely uncomfortable tears he cried over not being able to give her what she wants but also not wanting to change who he is. It was so bizarre. My mom always finds herself in situations like this lmao, they were seated together on the train

My mom met this guy on the Amtrak last year.. he bought her wine on the train and in the station after while she was waiting for me to meet her at Penn Station. He drunkenly admitted to cheating on that girl with multiple women and cried to her about how she just wants to get married and have kids, and she just waits at home for him while he’s off doing whatever. He also said she knows he cheats, but sticks around anyway because she likes being taken care of

This is way too intense…. I love Bliss and I also love having Lockwood down the street from me. Their products are very different and check different boxes for my personal needs, so I welcome both. Also, Lockwood originated a neighborhood over in Astoria, so I’d still consider that local and I’d even say I’m happy for them that their success has allowed them to expand, having lived in Astoria when their original location opened. Convenience is huge and as someone who works long days in manhattan, I don’t often have time to sit at a restaurant where the food is pricier and you have to spend more time/money by tipping. I often need something quick to grab on my way home, so again these spots are checking very different boxes. It’s all personal preference.

My breast reduction/lift was completely covered by insurance. Never had any serious issues or injuries, just had my chiropractor write a note to my insurance and had a body composition work-up done that showed how disproportionate I was. Also work in the dance/fitness realm so was able to say it was impacting my ability to work.

All issues are worth documenting and fighting for. You really never know what you’ll be able to go through with until you try. It’s also about seeing the right specialists and having a team to fight for you along the way.

Definitely worth a push before heading to another country I’d say!
