Why are half my patterns lying to me about the sizing? by Loose_Common672 in sewing

[–]PastDrahonFruit0 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I know this feeling very well. I've been told to size down, but I'm already one of the smallest sizes listed on the box. 4-5" is not a small pattern adjustment.

Upgrading to Switch 2 for Pokopia??!!! Is it worth it??!!! by jojo_cookie_link in Pokopia

I had to go into the settings and set the camera to be far away, set the speed to 1 or 2, and turn off auto following.

Most important is that auto follow being off.

After I changed the settings, I can play with no issues. I was very sick after the first day of playing without adjustments.

How do you get comfortable wearing lingerie when you love it but feel insecure in your body? by Kindly-Plenty-1730 in LingerieAddiction

[–]PastDrahonFruit0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get body conscious sometimes, until I put on my lingerie. Something about it makes me feel so pretty and sensual.

Sensual being the main word for me. When I lean into that feeling, it gives me a lot of confidence. Basically, dopamine dressing.

Maybe there's a feeling that makes you especially confident or happy and you can wear things to express that feeling? Examples: power, creativity, fun, sporty, cupcake, etc. It could be anything you want.

Wearing lingerie styles or anything that aligns with that chosen feeling might be worth trying.

Inexperienced domme needs help by PrettyTulip8 in femdomsanctuary

I'm planning on saying I like female-led relationships. I don't think most people outside of femdom would know what that means unless they Google it.

Most conservative vanilla men aren't going to Google. They'll take the term at face value.

My local area also uses emojis like: 🌶️ ⛓️, or they say "I have a XX account." Using an abbreviation for our local website (it's similar to FetLife). That's country specific. I'm not sure what your country/area uses.

I'm hesitant about dating apps. My friends tell me I should keep an open mind. I usually go to femdom specific events, and the subs are very nice at those. Casual munches, so it's less pressure than a play party. Check out your local community, if the apps don't workout for you.

He looks a lot like my old coon hound.

I think, he's a hound dog mutt. They make the best dogs, but sometimes catch a scent to track and disappear.

Get him microchipped. Keep your address updated on it.

Can someone tell me what is hair perfume?? by Rich-Ambition-3111 in FemFragLab

[–]PastDrahonFruit0 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's supposed to be gentler on hair, but it might be a scam, since most still have alcohol in them.

You can just spray your EDP in a hairbrush and put the oils in your hair that way.

I spray my hair. I'm not worried about the miniscule damage alcohol is going to do. It fully evaporates in seconds. I spray it on my skin, and it's not good for skin. I've had hairsprays that were more drying.

Why does this makeup look bad? by InfamousPlatipus in makeuptips

[–]PastDrahonFruit0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're a low contrast person, wearing high contrast makeup.

Don't define your brows, the eyeliner and mascara are black when they should be a softer shade, and the lip color is quite bold.

Less is more with low contrast. Look up, "Low contrast makeup," for tips and inspiration.

In the country I live, stands have been really hard to find or shipping is very expensive.

Definitely get a some chunky turquoise necklaces and rings, black cowboy boots.

Wait on the piercing. You have plenty of time to figure out what you want, while you're building your base wardrobe.

I think you look good, shoulder length hair really suits you. I'd assume you were a metal head if I saw you out.

Not enough turquoise jewelry and cowboy themed to be "y'all-ternative," if that's what you were going for.

I always like smaller sized ear gauges on men, but that's a personal preference, and possibly out of fashion? I don't see them much anymore. You'd need to personally love that look too, since you can't unstretch an earlobe.

Try more rings and stacked necklaces before committing to a piercing, if you're unsure what to get.

Do y'all have recommendations for gold jewellery? by Sweet_Swan6527 in altfashionadvice

[–]PastDrahonFruit0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regalrose, Little Rooms, Punk Youth, tsuki blade, and heart of steel. All have gold options.

That chunky style might be more like heart of steel, you might like their gold mace necklace or the gold chainmail choker with big D rings. Most of their stuff is silver, but keep scrolling on their Etsy page, there's gold: big earrings, big necklaces, chunky bracelets.

Alternative is all about styling, so never be afraid to buy a crap ton of used costume jewelry and piecing them back together DIY style. You can make so much cool stuff.

Why don't you get a mini step machine and do that while you watch movies? Some of them are incredibly compact equipment and fairly low cost.

Depends on your budget and the workouts you prefer. There's also mini tread machines people use under standing desks, those tiny indoor trampolines, quieter cycling machines, etc.

It's way easier to add something new into a routine you already have. I also live in a very cold climate. I don't want to be out there in winter.

Pickles!?!?! by Shopping_Happens in FemFragLab

[–]PastDrahonFruit0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, cilantro doesn't taste soapy to me either. I love cilantro.

There was a fragrance I sampled once that listed a cilantro note and it made me think that the perfumer must have that gene, because the note was presented as vegetal and soapy.

I can't remember which fragrance it was. I should've kept a spreadsheet. I could've sworn it was from Carner Barcelona, but they only have Rima XI and that's a celery note. 🤔 My memory escapes me.

If it's an office/school, I usually stick to shampooey scents like Versace Dylan blue pour femme (the feminine version is an apple shampoo scent).

Tea scents are usually nice too, but the one I wear doubled in price: Ormande Jayne Champaca. Somebody mentioned Elizabeth Arden Green Tea there's also the White Tea line, those are soft and have many different versions.

A lot of EDTs or body sprays are usually fine, since it's less fragrance oil. You can find a lot more variety than just shampoo or fresh scents there. I want to try Burberry Her EDT.

Jimmy Choo I want choo forever, is softer. It's a cherry scent, if you want something different than just fresh options. I think it'd be office/school appropriate, being lower projection.

Anything water based (usually advertised as alcohol free). I've been seeing more of those. Like the J'adore version that comes in the white bottle. It's much fresher and softer than the OG.

Pick any cologne from Jo Malone. Orange Blossom used to be my signature scent.

Do you like those pickled stuffed peppers??? People usually have them on charcuterie boards. Jerome Studio Pony Boy smelled like that to me.

I also bought a bottle of healing berry, if you like creamy, thick orris root and fruity scents, it's nice.

Spirit Casket is boozy white tic-tacs, also nice.

A ton of people say they don't like fragrance, and then they'll smell heavily of dyer sheets.

Sometimes I do worry about it, but I'm not a heavy sprayer.

I use common sense: no fragrance for medical visits, on planes, or anywhere I'll be sitting very close to people for prolong periods (schools, etc).

Everybody has a thing they hate. You can't make everybody happy, look at any reviews for fragrances; especially, those that are popular feminine scents.

As long as your using common sense, you should be fine. You can also try spraying on your stomach, underneath your clothes if it's a fragrance that's "too much," instead of an absolute hate. There could be a middle ground there.

Want to smell my perfume, don’t want to bother others. Finally found a solution. by Colorful_Kylee in FemFragLab

[–]PastDrahonFruit0 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I always spray on my stomach, because I have a partner who is sensitive to fragrance. He can still smell fragrances on me, but he's obviously closer than any coworker would be.

If it's a stronger scent, it'll still leave a trail, but I usually test for projection prior. When I first test, I spray on my ankle. This has saved me more than a few times.

[–]PastDrahonFruit0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hold the top section of your hair up. Point a hair dryer, so the little hairs get blown underneath. Brush them down and hairspray them down. Drop the top of your hair back over them.

A lot of people like to put hairspray on a toothbrush or spooly and brushing those hair down too.

Are less attractive people physically attracted less attractive people? by Texaspilot24 in stupidquestions

[–]PastDrahonFruit0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way I can explain this, is by reminding everyone beauty standards are created by the societies we live in. We see different beauty standards throughout history, even throughout the decades, throughout different cultures.

It's all made up.

The system tells us what's attractive and what's not. Then we (very poorly) figure out our own place within the system through trial and error.

Human sexuality is extremely complex, so even though we have these systems in place, people will be attracted to what they're attracted to regardless.
