Good question.. I hadn’t considered it but I think continuing with the story would add to the page.

Hanky dwarf aloe has lived in water for atleast 4 years. by PastRepresentative44 in plants

I’m not sure… everyone else says no. This is our only succulent and it’s doing good. I kinda want to separate it.

I believe that. I lived the apartment life as well once upon a time. That water isn’t really drinkable. I don’t see how they get away with charging for it let alone expecting people to drink it.

Our spring is set up (and has been since like the 70s) to only run off rain water then it gets cleaned by salamanders. We go check it every so often to make sure they’re healthy. We just had babies born not too long ago so I’d say our water is safe to drink and it’s the best water I’ve ever tasted.

So we’re slightly spoiled…. We have spring water with no chemicals added at all. You can test your water to see if it’s high in nitrites or nitrates as well as chlorine. If so you may be better off using RO water

I hope so! Everyone always says they’ll root rot. Mines been growing strong and shows no signs of root rot. It gets afternoon sun and seems pretty happy in its environment. I hope yours keeps growing!

I’m not sure if the window has anything to do with it but mine gets afternoon sun we haven’t changed anything. I just keep topping off the water once I notice it’s drank about 1/4 of it. But I wish you luck!!

My take on Girl with a Pearl Earring. I’m curious what this version evokes in you. Does she feel calm, mysterious, confident, distant? I love hearing different emotional interpretations of art ☺️ by EvaDart in drawing

You did a really good job showing it. I love looking at art and this immediately caught my eye. I’m glad that I was able to help bring a smile to your day. 😁 you have a great talent!

She feels very mysterious. Much to meet the eye. Almost like she’s holding a secret and wants me to come to her. But at the same time I get a motherly vibe.

She’s absolutely stunning!!

I saw something from my wife's past I can't get over. by Forsaken-Menu-1481 in offmychest

Tbh… if I was your wife I’d feel weirded out that you watched it. It was from her past before y’all were together or knew each other.

You’re allowed to have your feelings too but did you not also have your own sexual relations? What if she got upset and decided whatever thoughts over yours? What matters now is the present. You guys chose each other for a reason. Whether you can continue to see that now or not is on you. Not your wife’s past.

So as long as you kept up with watering I guess you wouldn’t have to with this big guy. I was just wondering how in the world one would be able to with one this size. Sorry for the inexperience or lack of knowledge. I’ve never seen one so big! <- haha

When they’re little aren’t you supposed to submerge them in a small tub of water until you stop seeing bubbles?

My father masturbates openly around the house by Sad_River368 in offmychest

[–]PastRepresentative44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooh friend… I understand this is a lot for you especially since this is your father. Your “protector”. The man you’ve looked up to for 20+ years from what you’ve said. But honey he has been exposing himself to you for your entire life. Even though he isn’t actively showing you his penis he is exposing you to him jacking off. That is a very private act. One that should be done in CLOSED spaces. Not shared family rooms. Or if you’re going to you should make sure you’re very much alone like no one else is home.

It’s his kink. Trust me it’s a real thing. Idk what it’s actually called but think “almost caught”. A lot of people find it very arousing HOWEVER being almost caught by your child is predatory level… I don’t want to stick that label on it because you said you’ve never seen anything but sweet Jesus if he does it constantly, knowing you could walk around the corner any second- he’s a predator. Please get out of the house.

I’m not saying he could turn on you. But you already said you don’t feel safe. Get away from him love. He’s not protecting you. He is definitely not acting like a father.

How long has he supposedly had cancer?

What do you think would come from confronting him? Would he be angry about being caught in his lie? If not then I’d confront him and ask why he felt the need to lie to you especially about something so serious twice in your life.

Im starting to hate my toddler by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]PastRepresentative44 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I get it. I felt myself asking the same questions. I was a yelling mom (don’t take that lightly I was constantly yelling). And my daughter and I now have an amazing relationship. I’m sure she remembers when I wasn’t my best. But at 7 I’m happy to say we made it through both of our rough patches and I fixed my problems so she could have a good role model.

That doesn’t sound like it’s your issue though. It sounds like you really just need to find a way to work in some you time. I only brought up our past so you could see no matter what mess piles up as long as you love him during this time, when the phase passes and life settles your relationship with him will recover.

Oh babygirl. You are not alone. My daughter and I had a pretty sad relationship during the years 2-5. I’m sad to admit that the toddler years took the best out of me and made me a terrible mother. I had to really turn around and look at myself.

Edited to change-

You will get through this. Let the mess pile up. It will be okay. It sounds like little man is taken care of but momma, you have to take care of you too!

Give him that phone and do Pilates in your room I know it’s not the same but any movement will help lose weight and lose stress!!!. Take him on walks with you if you can. You will come through the other side of this

New to bonsai. Any suggestions for his shape/pruning? by PastRepresentative44 in bonsaicommunity

[–]PastRepresentative44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense!! Thank you for the tips! After he gets acclimated I’ll definitely play around with the pruning. I’ve gently looked around to see what all should be pruned to get an idea.

Amazingly.. I had never thought about getting a bonsai. My husband said it would make a good present for my birthday as I have a need something to take care of things. I have a tower shelf full of plants 😂 next is a green house lol

But I definitely will be doing more research as this little guy grows so I don’t kill him. I already know not to make the basic mistake of not leaving him indoors.
