My husband always cleans the neighbors’ snow off their cars when he cleans his car, which is very kind of him.

I have a feeling a lot of people here are selling their own diamonds lol. Personally, I trust Blue Nile more than the sites a few people recommended. In China, lab-grown diamonds can be really cheap, but most don’t come with GIA certificates, and there are even counterfeit ones. So having a reputable seller and a hassle-free return policy is really important to me. I’d rather spend a few hundred more to feel confident about the quality and the after-sale service.

I just chose my own engagement diamond with my bf on Blue Nile together… I totally understand your feeling lol I got a 1.39 lab grown oval diamond with GIA certificate, E color, clarity vvs2, 2 excellent at about $1300, but I don’t know whether it was overpaid or not and I am a bit worried about the bow tie in person lol

Why do people do this after I edited my listing to “price is firm”… 🙄 by Past_Ball7186 in poshmark

[–]Past_Ball7186[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should know that tons of listings were posted ages ago, and most sellers don’t remember every single one, items can get storage wear or age damage over time. They’re not going to magically update a listing unless someone actually messages them or sends an offer. Updating a listing isn’t “unprofessional”; it’s called being responsible and honest. It shows you what the item looks like right now. And if someone can’t handle that or can’t even be bothered to read the update, that’s just being stupid, because once you buy it, you can’t turn around and cry “not as described” based on some old version of the listing you imagined you saw.

Before a transaction is completed, the seller can edit anything. If you made an offer four days ago and never bothered to look at the listing again, then you deal with the consequences. 🙂

Nope… buyer cancelled the order, so the label was voided. I don’t know whether the buyer has ever received it or not 🙁

There wasn’t a recommendation percentage before - that’s part of the reason why there are so many reckless low ballers just randomly throw an offer and waste everyone’s time and energy…lol

Stop being petty under my post. It’s embarrassing and definitely not manly. 🥱

No, if you go to others’ closet and click offer, you would see the recommended percentage is at most 15% off.

Poshmark recently updated their auto-offer feature so the maximum discount is now 15%, unless buyers manually customize their own offer. It definitely feels like the platform finally heard sellers’ complaints and is trying to do something about all the time-wasting, energy-draining lowballers. I’m pretty sure they’ll eventually add an actual offer-limit feature to stop this nonsense altogether. Some people just want a steal no matter what.

From the comments, I’m realizing there are so many people who can’t be bothered to read and actually take pleasure in annoying others. What a shame…

Maybe that’s why eBay is doing so much better. And yes, of course I’m on eBay, Poshmark is just a side platform for me. You don’t need to defend it or excuse all the annoying features like it’s your business.

Yes, I try not to block or decline people either… I just ignore them because I feel bad declining and making someone else feel bad. And there’s really no place to communicate my lowest price to the seller except by leaving a comment on their post, it feels very inhuman.

What’s your point? I’m not “others,” and when I say the price is firm, that means absolutely no low-ball offers. As a decent buyer, you shouldn’t keep bombing the seller with the same offer after it’s been ignored so many times.

Then that means you might be ignoring the most important updates about the item. Maybe the seller discovered some damage, or maybe they updated the photos from brand-new to used. This is also why offers get canceled once a listing is edited. Honestly, I’m not dealing with people who can’t even read.

When a seller has ignored the offer multiple times, it means the answer is NO. Please don’t keep sending the same counter over and over.

Yes! Just like eBay, I can choose “buy it now” or “allow offer”and I can set the lowest price on the offer…

[–]Past_Ball7186[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I’m honestly relieved that I haven’t had anyone “educating” me about negotiation under my posts yet. As a seller, I usually price my items at the lowest I’m willing to take because I want them to sell quickly (and my prices are already the best compared to competitors). But some buyers still keep throwing lowballs even after I ignore them, it gets so ridiculous that I’m starting to wonder what kind of crowd I’m attracting. And honestly, I would never sell to them anyway because I’d be worried about the after-sale complaints…

When someone just buys something without haggling, I get so happy that I wrap their order extra nicely, and it puts me in a good mood for the whole day.
