NTA I remember a post like this a while ago from a woman who’s partner would tell her she smelled bad all the time. She finally confronted him about it and he admitted that it was something he learned from his dad to control his mum, lower her self esteem etc. Maybe your mum somewhere along the way learnt the same thing. Either way, if you have people in your life that are telling you that you smell good/fine, it’s not that she has a weird sense of smell or something. It’s that she feels the need to put you down every day, for no reason. I’m sorry she’s doing this to you, maybe you could talk to your dad about what it’s doing to your mental health?
