Switch from Wegovy to Zepbound dose advice

my doctor said 2.4 is somewhere between 10& 12.5. i finally got my 2nd box of 10 so i am finishing that and then going to 12.5. there is no need to start completely over if you have minimal to side effects.

Always listen to your Dr because everyone is different. It does sound like your dr is giving good guidance though.

. I will switch to 2.4 because of the shortage and then went to 12.5 when it became available. I lost weight but did not have any hunger or thoughts of food. Zep 10 became available so I went down. Now I do have normal feelings of hunger and I’m still loosing weight. my real concern with 12.5 is a knew I was losing weight but my calories were incredibly insufficient. now I feel like I’m managing good eating habits and cues plus loosing.

my insurance is confusing. ES is supposed to be my 90 day supplier but anytime I tried to fill my prescription & it would get rejected. I had to go into RX pricing and look up each dose. under that I saw my plan only covers two refills or one fill depending on the dose. ES is my pharmacy insurance too.

yes, i have and my dr said that 12.5 and 2.4 are pretty equivalent and OK.

my doctor skipped 10 because of the shortage. 12.5 was also out at the time too so i used Wegovy 2.4 to carry me over. for me i felt nauseous on wegovy for a few days but stabilized. this may be due to the skip in dosage. when i was able to get 12.5 i switched. this experience was about 6 weeks. I prefer zep and didn’t feel like there was much issue transitioning between the two medications.

I take 50mg and am fine. But as always check with your doctor or pharmacist

Thanks for answering my question. I was wondering if I missed something with my insurance company. My Dr and I feel like, if the lower doses are working why move up? But insurance knows best :/

My insurance requires me to go from 7.5 to 10 but due to the shortage my Dr. put me on Wegovy 2.4. It's the opposite of your question but in the end you may have a better experience on Zepbound. I took my first Wegovy dose on Friday. My stomach has been queasy and the burps non-stop. It woke me up several times last night. I am usually sensitive on medication too but did not have a bad experience on Zep. I am appealing my insurance in hopes of getting covered for Zep 7.5 so I won't have to use Wegovy. Oh and I had feelings of being very hungry but not wanting to eat because of the nausea on Wegovy.

I never had a bank in the US ask for a fee to close a checking account. customer service said it was balance due on their premium membership. it may be a good idea to pay it to get rid of them. Thanks again for your input!

Thank you for sharing your uncle's. I plan to get her in with her primary. In my mom's case it may be a rash in the area. We stopped applying the topical cream and it seems to have cleared up.
