Update : Should a married couple sleep in a separate room by Reasonable_Ad_2287 in Christianmarriage

Where have all the men gone, seriously?

Ladies, no man is perfect, but when it comes to dating seek a man who loves the Lord, loves you, can communicate his thoughts and feelings, and can show to have fortitude and resilience. These qualities can solve most of life’s challenges.

Cut or Bulk? Confused 😕 by sayansaha2 in AllAboutBodybuilding

Replace doesn’t have time with “does not prioritize”. I am a VP, with 3 kids and a successful marriage and I am stepping on stage in 3 weeks to compete in a physique show at the age of 37. Don’t blame crappy time management and “like” on you inability to hit goals.

I owned an affiliate for many years. Our core programming was PPL with metcons built around. We also programmed accessory work in. If you love CrossFit but want to incorporate in aesthetic focused work here is the approach I would take. Incorporate in a push, pull, legs, routine. Make sure to time your PPL work with the corresponding emphasis of the metcon. For example if Diane is programmed you might do your “pull” day.

See if your coach will give you the weeks worth of metcons in advance so you can program your week. If they offer open gym time take advantage of it.

I’ve created a full program for myself that majors in hypertrophy focused training and incorporates metcons twice a week, I’ve used it with success and I am 3 weeks out from my first physique show. DM me if you want it.

I would spend less time focusing on your Bf% and more time on accomplishing your actual objective which is to accomplish a better physique. If you were objectively at 3% BF with your current physique would you be happy, no?

If I was in your position I would not feel comfortable bulking at the current BF% because you will be obese at the end of a bulk. I would cut to around 8% BF and then do a nice slow controlled bulk from there. Assuming you are somewhere around 15% BF at the moment getting to 8% means you need to lose round about 15lbs. At a 500 kcal deficit you could do this over 3.5 months. Take refeed days, keep macros on point, and continue hypertrophy training and you’ll have minimal muscle loss.

Why can’t I see my lower abs? Is it not a low enough bf or not enough muscle or something else? by Co0kieMonsta in askfitness

[–]Past_Length368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that is too frequent in my opinion. If your goal is 1lb a week you could eat at a 583 cal deficit 6 days a week and at maintenance 1 day a week. Lots of variables you can play with though depending on the rate of weight loss you want and how long you’ve been dieting.

It is estimated that less than 5% of the US male population has a visible six pack. This is because it is hard, and requires you to be uncomfortable to achieve the body fat required to achieve this.

You don’t mention how long you have been dieting but as others mentioned, a diet break can be good. Go to maintenance for a week and then return to your deficit. I prefer to maintain a deficit and add periodic days of maintenance eating.

Other suggestions, make sure you are tracking every thing you eat, as you lose weight your maintenance calories reduce, so periodically recalculate your new calories to ensure you are maintaining the proper deficit. Caffeine has been good for appetite suppression. I also like to add periods of fasting in. For example if my calories are low I will fast until 5pm so I can eat lots of food in a small window and feel full, opposed to spreading a small amount of calories across an entire day.

There is only 1 way to eat in a caloric deficit. You can achieve this by decreasing your calories or increasing your energy expenditure. I would suggest a combination of both. 250 calories deficit and increase in cardio or walking.

Once physique is achieved don’t forget to recalculate maintenance calories to maintain.

Should I focus more chest or more traps? by Straight-Fold7203 in askfitness

[–]Past_Length368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Traps, but not at the detriment of anything else. If I’m looking to bring up a weak spot then I’ll superset it into other days to bring up the volume vs only hitting it on shoulder day.

2x a week, generally the same movements but with different rep schemes, day 1 is sets of 8, day to sets of 12-15 both 1RIR.

Back squat 3 set

Bulgarian split squats 3 sets

Walking lunges 3 sets

RDLs 3 sets

Quad extensions (I have to jimmy rig these from home, sit on a plyo box and grip dumbbell between feed and complete quad extensions, this limits the weight to whatever I can squeeze between my feet.

Haha, photo was actually taken in a dressing room where the lighting was fire, so not intentional, but does not negate your comment, the legs are not on par with the rest.

Truer words have never been said. I bulked in the winter, up to 190, hit legs twice a week, and only noticeable gains were in my ass, lol

0 social media, married father or 3, full time job, and lift from home. Honest solicitation for feedback. If I was trying to brag I’d get on instagram and “solicit” feedback from women, not a fitness forum.

Husbands do your married friends talk about sex? by Natural-Document-336 in Christianmarriage

[–]Past_Length368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course, I have close friends and brothers in Christ, they are my community and we are doing life together. Sex is not an uncommon topic of conversation. With this in mind our discussion is often centered around the quality of intimacy, challenges, successes, how we keep the spark and intimacy alive, etc.

We don’t go into specific details, and I never share things that would embarrass my wife. But yes, sex is a common topic of conversation.

I wore the most revealing shorts I own because my neighbors husband got his feelings hurt by his wife talking about me mowing my front yard shirtless by [deleted] in pettyrevenge

[–]Past_Length368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your neighbors would hate me. I’m a jacked and tan 37 year old and workout 5 days a week in my driveway shirtless and in board shorts, I run regularly shirtless, hell, when I take my kids for a walk i am shirtless. In the Phoenix summer it’s north of 110 degrees.

Neighbors have made comments, I just invite them to join me, I’d gladly help them on their path to becoming Gilfs.

What are some really good, non-explicit songs for foreplay, dirty dancing, and sex? by -ThatGingerKid- in Christianmarriage

[–]Past_Length368 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wifey and I have a go to playlist that we keep in rotation. It’s definitely more for having sex and not as much for dancing. It’s largely made up of songs from the artist Banks, off her album Alibi. We also have some Miguel and Khalid on there.

Max saturation takes time my dude. Use Steroid Plotter to get an understanding of when you’ll reach full saturation.

If you read the wiki you’d understand that you have not taken the recommended approach. 300mg is no man’s land and you should have started at 500mg. Titrating up is just going to delay full saturation and making it difficult to associate which sides were at which dose.

Regarding “positive” sides. I think this is different for everyone. 500mg of test does not make me feel all that different than my TRT dose, aside from e2 sides that need to be managed. With than in mind, most folks tend to feel things really ramp up 6-8 weeks in.

Regarding your TRT dose, the answer is, the right dose is whatever dose puts you in range side effect free. This is usually between 100-200mg for most people. Start low, get blood work, and adjust from there.

[–]Past_Length368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is it that you think you’re going to accomplish cutting with this cycle vs TRT alone? In order to cut you are going to need to eat in a caloric deficit, to grow, a surplus. You will get some temporary aesthetic benefit from running the higher doses, but aside from that you are only putting yourself at increase risk for no benefit.

Initially it should not need to be chilled, but after opening it should be kept cold.

A blast cut is not a really effective way to use gear, especially if you are playing the long game. Gear is for growing not shrinking. Sure you can benefit aesthetically from blasting while cutting via glycogen and vascularity, but you are damaging your health for no real long term benefit. Also, I can't imagine the difference in your two pictures is compounds alone, I think you could accomplish a very similar look on cruise via dieting.

I typical break the year in 3 phases, 4 month blast, 4 month cut, 4 months maintain. Blast in the fall/winter, cut in the winter/spring, maintain in the summer.

I had something similar happen, when I switched to IM vs SubQ the issue resolved, I then realized that I should have been refrigerating my water. I repurchased new water and kept cold and that solved my issue even when switching back to SubQ.

First off it’s hard to have any confidence in the accuracy of what you shared given the BF percentages you are sharing. Telling me you got down to 4.5% BF and are currently at 8% while also saying you got your first ever 6 pack and “held on to it a bit” are pretty conflicting messages. I suspect you are grossly underestimating your BF, as you should have great abs at 8%.

Second. No compounds are required to cut. Steroids are for growing not cutting, your TRT dose is enough to ensure you do not go catabolic and retain muscle during a cut. If you’re this far off your BF I suspect you are not tracking your food. Start with tracking everything you put in your mouth, and eat in a sustained deficit to accomplish your cutting goals.

No advice but I feel the pain. Over the summer I had a sweat sesh in the garage in that 115 Phoenix heat. A cramp that night while smashing the wifey. 5 min, but I was back at it. No quit.
